About this listing
I live with my pup Craig, housemate Rose and her cat Foofa in this 3 bed, 1 bath house. I love the location, large kitchen, hardwood floors with cozy rugs, huge couch, tons of books, movies & records, front porch, fenced backyard, long driveway, and garage.
Starting at the start, the front porch is big with a table and chairs, and a great view of the beautiful tree-lined street. Gorgeous landscaping welcomes you as you pull in the drive.
The living room has a huge couch (sleeps two-three), sleeper loveseat (sleeps one) ottomans, flat screen HDTV (cable TV, Apple TV, DVD/Blu-Ray player), books, magazines, games, puzzles, and more to entertain you.
The dining room has a huge table (seats ten) and beautiful built-in China cabinets with plenty of service-ware for entertaining or work. There's also a record player in here, with tons of records, that plays music throughout the house. Aux cable with speakers here too.
Bedroom one has a full/queen foam mattress bed that sleeps two, closet with tons of storage. There is a TV with a roku and cable TV.
Bedroom two has a King memory foam bed with tufted headboard and is like sleeping on a big cloud that you sink right down into and don't move all night. Sleeps two people (three who are comfortable with each other). This room has an HDTV with cable TV and an Amazon Fire Stick.
The bathroom features a bathtub with a shower with awesome water pressure, commode, and large vanity sink. The basement is unfinished and used for storage, but there are laundry machines down there for your use.
The kitchen has a gas stove, nespresso, soda stream, Keurig, toaster, dishwasher, and fridge/freezer. There is a table and two chairs (two other chairs in the house can join up to seat four for a meal).
There's a pretty big backyard, lots of established landscaping, grill, and patio furniture with an umbrella.
I do have a dog and cat, but they will not be there during your stay. However, if you are allergic, this is not the house for you.
The whole house!
Interaction with guests
I'm available and in town during your stay should you have any questions or concerns!
If I happen to be traveling myself during your stay, my housemate stays right down the street.
The street is quiet, with tons of huge trees, brick roads, lots of families and walkable pathways.
Downtown Champaign is a 15 minute walk, as is West Side Park. Illinois Terminal (Amtrak, Greyhound, local bus hub). There are bus stops within 2 blocks to access Champaign-Urbana's award-winning mass transit system.
I grew up in and around Champaign-Urbana and know the area very well. During the week, I enjoy my exercise classes, cooking delicious food, and hanging out with my dachshund-Boston terrier mix, Craig. I love to travel, but don't get to do enough of it! My favorite cities are New York, Chicago, Nashville, Paris, and Buenos Aires.
