The main living area is bright, comfortable, and made for slowing down after a day in the sun. Stretch out with a movie, connect to the Sonos speaker, enjoy an easy meal at home, or cool off between beach walks and sunset swims.
The overall feel is relaxed and practical, with enough space to settle in, unpack, and enjoy Playa Flamingo at your own pace.
🛏️ BEDROOMS & BATHROOMS
The primary bedroom features a king bed, ensuite bathroom, TV, Sonos speaker, and peekaboo ocean views. The second bedroom is designed especially well for families, with a twin-over-twin bunk bed and a separate twin bed in a playful loft space.
A third full bathroom is located downstairs, making the condo especially convenient for families or small groups. Everyone gets a little more breathing room, which is never a bad thing when sunscreen, swimsuits, and salty hair become the highlights.

Location is one of the best parts of staying here. Ballena Vida is located in the Villas Flamingo community, an easy 2-minute walk from the white sands of beautiful Flamingo Beach.
That means beach days can unfold naturally. Walk down for a morning swim, return to the condo for lunch or a cool break, then wander back for sunset without planning every outing around the car. Some Flamingo-area rentals trade walkability for hillside views. Here, the beach is simply part of your day.

Beach days should feel effortless. We provide foldable beach chairs, beach towels, a Neso sun shade, an insulated cooler, YETI can koozies, JBL Bluetooth speakers, board games, and more to help you make the most of Flamingo Beach. All you need to bring is sunscreen, which can be easily purchased at the nearby local market.
🍳 A KITCHEN THAT GOES BEYOND THE BASICS
Whether you are making coffee before the beach, blending smoothies after a morning swim, or cooking dinner at home, the kitchen is stocked to feel genuinely useful and enjoyable.
Premium amenities include HexClad cookware, Global knives, Knork flatware, two Ninja blenders, YETI mugs and koozies, and a GE 6-burner hooded gas range. It is the kind of kitchen that makes eating in feel easy, whether you are keeping things simple or cooking up something more ambitious. Buen provecho!
❄️ COOL, COMFORTABLE SPACES
Playa Flamingo is warm year-round, and a comfortable place to recharge matters. Ballena Vida has 3 A/C units, all replaced in July 2025, helping keep the condo cool and comfortable after sunny beach days.
Each bedroom has its own A/C unit, along with an additional unit in the main living area, so guests can settle in, cool down, and sleep comfortably.
🛜 FAST, RELIABLE WI-FI
The condo is covered by an eero Pro Mesh Wi-Fi system with multiple access points throughout the space. Our 300 Mbps plan typically delivers approximately 150 to 300 Mbps in most areas of the condo, making it easy to stream, video call, or stay connected when needed.
📺 MUSIC, MOVIES & EASY NIGHTS IN
Ballena Vida has two TVs: one in the downstairs living room and one in the primary bedroom. Each TV includes an Amazon Fire TV Stick, and we provide access to Netflix. Guests are also welcome to log in to their own streaming services.
For music, the Sonos system includes one speaker in the living room and one speaker in the primary bedroom. We also provide a JBL Bluetooth speaker that can be used inside or brought to the beach. It is a small touch, but one that helps the stay feel a little more complete.
🕰️ FLEXIBLE CHECK-IN
We build breathing room into our calendar because guest comfort and cleaning quality matter. Unlike many rentals, we do not schedule same-day departures and arrivals. Share your ETA, and we will do our best to accommodate an early arrival whenever possible, so your stay can begin with less waiting and more time to settle in.

Guests will have private access to the entire two-story condo, with space to settle in and enjoy Ballena Vida as their own during their stay. Please note that one locked owner’s closet at the back of the condo is reserved for supplies and is not available for guest use.

Guests are also welcome to enjoy the Villas Flamingo shared pool and surrounding lounge area, a relaxing place to cool off after a day at the beach.

Ballena Vida is a wonderful fit for couples, friends, and families. The second bedroom, with its twin-over-twin bunk bed and separate lofted twin bed, works especially well for kids or flexible sleeping arrangements.
Please note that the condo has interior stairs, sliding glass doors, and concrete construction, so it may not be the best fit for infants or toddlers.
🧺 CLEANING FEE
We charge a fair, transparent cleaning fee that goes directly toward supporting our local cleaning team and maintaining the condo to a high standard for every stay. There are no added checkout chores. All we ask is that you take your trash to the outside bins, and we will take care of the rest.
🎉 NO GUEST SERVICE FEE
This Airbnb listing uses a host-paid service fee structure, which means guests are not charged a separate Airbnb service fee at checkout. The price you see is designed to be clear and straightforward from the start.
✈️ GETTING TO PLAYA FLAMINGO
Playa Flamingo is approximately one hour by car from Liberia International Airport, depending on traffic and road conditions. Airport shuttles and taxis are available, but we strongly recommend renting a car for a more comfortable and flexible stay along Costa Rica’s Gold Coast.
🚘 RENTAL CAR RECOMMENDATION
The main highways in the area are paved, but dirt roads are common throughout coastal Guanacaste. A 4x4 or AWD rental is recommended during the green season and can be especially helpful when exploring nearby beaches, restaurants, and towns. Two dirt-road routes lead to Villas Flamingo, and both can become bumpy during wetter months.
