  • Phillippe is a first-class guy all the way. He wasn't around much, but he was always reachable by phone or text. I stayed in the room for three weeks while on a work project and it was fine. You can hear noise from people upstairs, but other than that it's quiet (depending on who else is in other rooms). The neighborhood is VERY cool, and I always felt safe walking in any direction. Great stores and restaurants in close vicinity as well.

  • Bedroom was as pictured and clean but bathroom was not very nice. Bathroom had no towels to use, no toilet paper, kitchen had trash bags laying around for days and apartment door lock does not work properly so twice I had to call Phillippe to come unlock the doors. Was very frustrated with being stuck outside having to wait. Phillippe was extremely polite and courteous and got there quickly to unlock the door both times. He was very pleasant to deal with and always responsive with emails. Since he does not live on the property he does not have total control over the upkeep of the rental.

  • Not bad overall. The location was great and the host was friendly and helpful over the phone and on text messages. The room was comfortable but stuffy and had an unpleasant smell. Cleanliness is not this apartment's strong suit. It has more of a shared student pad vibe. Which would be fine if the price were more reasonable. So not exactly superior lodgings, but acceptable in a pinch.

  • Cool host, cool neighbourhood, dirty bathroom, overrated room..

  • Great location (close to BART, many great places to eat and drink nearby). Phillippe was very helpful, he gave us lots of tips on restaurants and bars, everything was easy-going. We hardly ever saw the other roommates who also seemed nice. Altogether it was perfect to get to know San Francisco.

  • When we arrived, Phillip took the time to explain to us his neighbourhood and recommend us some restaurants. He was very nice. After that we didn't see him during our stay. The room was Ok but the bathroom was very dirty. We were very disappointed even more because we payed 12€ for the cleaning while booking the room and obviously it wasn't done.

  • I had a wonderful time in San Francisco and in this apartment! Philippe has been very welcoming. The room was even larger than I expected it to be from the pictures. The area is very lively and centrally located. I can heartily recommend this place!

  • Summary: Good room, really nice located close to many good Mexican restaurants, shops, cool cafes, bars and the Bart (metro).

Detailed: Phillppe was an extremely nice host and was very helpful. Even we did not have the pleasure to meet him a lot, he was there for us for any questions we had, just in time. The room has a comfortable bed and is just the right size for two people. The mission is a wonderful area and we enjoyed being there a lot. In fact we had wished to live another week(s) there. It's the ideal location to start exploring the city with walking distance to the Castro and to the Bart where 4 lines will take you basically anywhere you want to go in San Francisco (Airport, Downtown, ...). If you have a little time, take your chance and explore The Mission with its amazing cafes, restaurants and bars, look at the amazing wall paintings and just enjoy being and meeting some amazing people. We were very pleased!

About
I'm a pretty chill, social, fun loving guy. At this point I've lived in Miami, Port-au-Prince, Boston and SF and with each move I appreciate getting out and meeting new people so much more. Trance/House/Drum & Bass/other EDM music festivals are a huge past time right now, but I also love downtempo electro tango music like Gotan Project and Bajofondo, and chill French Lounge music. My favorite way to travel is to try to experience any new city as I would if I lived there. I want to learn about different perspectives, different ways of life, different cultures, new foods, new music, new everything. I think that we can all positively impact the world through our passions and that any great thing that has been done by humanity was done by groups of people, not individuals.
