  • Just like the mentioned review. Big plus is that BART station from SFO to Millbrae is very close.

  • This place was exactly what I needed, reasonably priced, clean accommodation close to SFO for a 1-night layover. This was my first ever experience with AirBnB. Jocelyn sent me easy to follow instructions (basically 1 BART stop and a 5 minute walk). I was fortunate, given my large bag, that someone had left a shopping cart in front of the BART Station in Millbrae. My only suggestion would be for Jocelyn to leave a light on outside as it was hard to make out the street number at 21:30. Jessy greeted me at the door, prepared the bed, and then gave me the short tour. After travelling all day, I just took a shower, heated up the food I was carrying and then after dinner, straight to bed. The bed was comfortable, it had a down duvet, and with earplugs in I never heard the two other guys sharing the room come in. I was up early for a morning flight. Before leaving Millbrae I walked maybe 5 blocks up the street to a Safeway and bought breakfast and snacks for the flight, and then back to SFO. I also noticed numerous assorted Asian food restaurants in the immediate neighborhood along with some fast food outlets. All in all, a good experience.

  • My stay in the house was so joyful, especially when I started to talk with different people in the house! They are willing to share n I wish I could stay for a longer while!

Location of the house is great! Close to BART !! N the neighborhood itself is nice too;)

  • Communication, amenities, and my overall experience left a little something to be desired, but you can't beat the price and close proximity to the airport. It met my expectations, but no more.

    1. I needed more instruction, in writing, in particular about which bed to sleep in and how to enter the residence. Jocelyn did not respond to my calls or texts to confirm my reservation until minutes before I boarded the plane to San Francisco. Email is better.

    2. I wanted to do a load of laundry but the dryer was out of order, so that was a bummer.

    3. My overall experience equaled about as much as you would expect from a mediocre hostel. The living room and kitchen were very messy considering the strict rules in the description.

So, I would recommend Jocelyn's place if you're looking for a cheap place to crash close to the airport, but don't get your hopes up. You certainly cannot beat the price and location in that respect. And the other guests are very easy-going and trustworthy. Plus, I showed up after midnight and left before daylight, so take my experience with a grain of salt. Still, it was only ok.

  • This was exactly what I needed... a place to crash while attending a conference at a hotel nearby. Jocelyn and I had a GREAT conversation about education/entrepreneurship while sitting on the floor of one of the bunk bed rooms. She is a great resource with whom I'll stay in contact...and the other folks staying there were kind, friendly, and respectful of personal space. Highly recommended.

  • This was a nice place, the people were friendly, the beds and bedding were super comfortable for a hack house, free coffee and tea, washer/dryer. I liked the long list of rules, because it keeps the place clean and tidy (other hack houses aren't). The price was comparable. The internet sucked, which is unacceptable in a hack house (I was in the back house, and it may have been better in the front...not sure). Parking is ok... The location is decent for going to and from SF. But sort of far from San Jose/Mountain View/Palo Alto area.
