Great location just minutes from downtown, quiet neighborhood, relaxing backyard perfect for lounging; these are just some of the gems that await at our property. I'm told the bed is extremely comfortable, too! Public transportation is close by.
Your hand carved queen Hawaiian canopy bed awaits. The room has a ceiling fan for staying cool in the summer and extra blankets for the winter.

We are a married couple with a 2 bedroom 1920's bungalow for rent. The bedroom has a queen bed, central heat/air, and a ceiling fan. It features wood floors and dark curtains to keep the light out. Our accommodation sleeps up to two. There are spare bicycles available for use at your leisure, as well as helmets. (Bring a lock if you have one). Your room has clean towels, some toiletries, a hairdryer, hot water teapot, coffee and tea, and some snacks, but if you'd like something else, we can accommodate. We have homemade preserves for sale made with local fruit. :-)
Breakfast is basic and includes coffee/tea, fruit, oatmeal, or hot cereal in your room. Hard boiled eggs are located in the fridge and cinnamon raisin bagels are in the freezer. You are welcome to make eggs to your liking as well. We provide some additional varying snacks and beverages such as hot chocolate, apple cider, cookies, granola bars, etc. If you're interested in a full breakfast or mimosa brunch, here are some local recommendations:
We have an outdoor kitchen/lounge space, a resident artist, fun neighbors, and a cute little old house.
What to expect: Depends on the day! If its a weekend and you want to hang out, we are happy to! Weekdays we are far more likely to be out of your space and doing our "weekday routine," but it's really up to you.
Our home features: a private outdoor entertaining/lounge/kitchen area, a hot tub, a living room, dining room, wireless internet, free street parking, washer/dryer, kitchen, books, games, weights and yoga mats, and one shared bathroom. Guests have access to everything in our home.
We have 2 cats (one is pretty shy and out of the way, one is young and very social and active). Please keep your door closed and let us know if you do not want the cats in the room, otherwise they will come and go if it is open, up to you. Someone will come by to take care of the cats if we're gone so you don't have to.
Smoking is allowed outdoors only though we are not smokers. We are gay friendly, gluten-free/dairy/corn free friendly, and open to hosting naturists/nude sunbathers.
Local: There is a great farmers market at W and 8th St Saturday mornings from 7-12pm, an antique fair every Second Sunday within walking distance of our place, and a Second Saturday Art Walk within biking distance (midtown). There are several bars and restaurants within walking distance as well as an old movie theatre aside a restaurant that serves great brunch, dinner, and desserts! (Tower Cafe)
If you think you might be interested in hot tub use, try to give us some warning so we can make sure it is properly heated in time- it is generally ready to go in the winter/cooler weather.
If we're gone, please make sure the master bed door stays open so Lily and Jax have access to their litter box and kitty door. Jax (the black one) is 8 months old and very active. Just leave your door closed if you don't want him to bother you. :-) We only leave the guest door open in the winter so the heat circulates better. Please keep closed as you wish.
Guests have access to everything in our home: kitchen, bathroom, hot tub, backyard, bicycles, toiletries, wifi, books, board games, etc.

Our neighborhood has some gems: plenty of parking, a local bakery (Freeport Bakery) and donut shop (Marie's Donuts) close by. The zoo and Fairytale town are close by as well as a huge Sunday farmers market. Our home is located walking/biking distance to the capitol, convention center, parks, the zoo, Old Sacramento, and numerous restaurants/bars/galleries/clubs downtown as well as several restaurants and a local brewery on Broadway (New Helvetia). Light rail and bus stops are conveniently located 1-2 blocks away. We are right off the freeway, and you have use of a bicycle while staying here.
If you are new to using local taxi services and would like your first ride free, use code fdspl for Uber and briana74 for Lyft.

Other Things to Note
Our home is 90 years old- please be forgiving of squeaky floors, creaky doors and other imperfections that make our home unique. :-)
We do live here and our home is cozy and not sterile/perfect and cleaned to perfection. Please let us know if there is something you require for comfort.
Please be courteous, kind, and pick up after yourself. We recycle and compost-the garbage and recycling bins are located as pull outs inside the kitchen island and the compost is in the sink. You are welcome to hand wash dishes or put them in the dishwasher for cleaning.
Please cover the hot tub when not in use.
We are energy and water conscious. Please use the heat/AC sparingly. The hot water is run on solar in the summer, so try not to take extended showers on cloudier days. Please be courteous of bathroom use on work days so we can shower and get ready in a timely manner.
Me and my boyfriend had a nice time at Briana and George's place. We were on a road trip passing by Sacramento. The cosy and comfortable room was a great change from camping we did a couple of days before. The hosts started the hot tub so it was ready for us by the time we arrived. It was the best part.
Briana and George's home offered a lovely retreat during my recent travel to Sacramento. It felt like visiting the home of an extremely thoughtful friend. I highly recommend taking their suggestion to have breakfast at the close-by Tower Cafe - incredibly beautiful!
I had very limited interaction with the hosts, due to my schedule. I did meet Briana when I checked in. She was very welcoming and cheerful.
I love love love the place! Sorry that am too busy to type a long review! I highly recommend it to everyone! Comfortable bed, perfect location, easy parking, awesome host etc. and etc.
Brianna and George were sweet and welcoming. Their home was beautiful with artistic accents throughout. They provided lots of resources for anyone wishing to explore the area and offered bicycles. The room was stocked with assorted teas, coffee, and snacks. The hot tub was an added bonus in their lovely backyard. Brianna & George are excellent hosts and this is a wonderful location to explore the city.
The room was very comfortable and Brianna made me feel very welcome. The location is excellent: easy access to the freeways and within walking distance of downtown.
We had a brief overnight with Brianna and George on the way to visit my family, and they were so wonderful and welcoming! For those who are strangers to the area/planning a longer stay, there are many guides to the Sacramento area and amenities in the room for you. The bed is big, beautiful and as comfy as it looks. As advertised, this part of Sac is very walkable and they have a hot tub - not to be missed!
They made a point to make sure we felt at home in their lovely artful abode and we hope to return the visit next time they come to SF (hint hint).

We are a fun-loving chill married couple, sometimes quiet and sometimes like to go out and have a great time dancing or at social events.
I'm a super positive gal who loves an adventure, the outdoors, and hanging with friends. I love chatting over coffee or drinks, dancing, movies, taking walks or bikerides, animals, and evenings at home. I'll try almost anything once! I'm part hippie and part city girl, you'll know what that means when you meet me. I laugh a lot, love theatre, and am just starting to sell and teach information on Young Living essential oils.
My husband is in the Coast Guard full time and he is a painter (mostly oil) He LOVES to talk painting if it's one of your interests: (homersart)
I'm allergic to gluten, corn, and dairy so you might find some unusual foods in our cabinets, but we eat pretty healthy- mostly meat & veggies.
We don't do a whole lot on weeknights so if you're looking for someone to show you around, it probably isn't us. Weekends we are generally more flexible to go out and explore/hike/bicycle/go to bars/events or go to the mountains. There's always something going on around Sacramento: cultural events, festivals, antique shows, etc. We both enjoy thrift shopping, bicycling, beer & wine fests, theatre, and art.
A BBQ at home is a typical event for us. Our backyard is great for entertaining and we love relaxing, chatting, and music.
