Cosy double room with brand new mattress in a quiet area just 2 minutes walk from the hustle and bustle of the city centre. The bedroom catches the morning sunlight, whilst the evening rays soak the garden.
I love cooking, reading, relaxing with nice music, long walks and travelling. The house is beautiful, bright and spacious with loads of character and charm! Lots of original features, such as shutters on the windows, stained glass, wooden floors, high ceilings, etc. The kitchen is currently unavailable for personal use, though you can email beforehand and we may be able to accommodate you :) We don't smoke during the day in the house, though we sometimes smoke in the evening in the kitchen, which is on the ground floor and the guest room is on the third floor (but if you are strongly opposed to this, please let us know and we have no problem to go outside!).
We have a small Jack Russell dog and two cats; the dog is quiet (usually!), energetic and very friendly, whereas the cats just like chilling and eating. Update; We have just acquired a second small dog, who is also very chilled and friendly.
Everything Cork city has to offer is within walking distance of the house, and there is a friendly tourist office close by, though we would be delighted to share our knowledge of the city with you! There are plenty of leaflets about Cork's attractions and surroundings in the bedroom too. Walking distance to both bus and train stations (each 10 minutes walk), and a 20-minute bus journey to the airport.

Maité was very welcoming and kind. Her house is lovely and very centrally situated. The room itself was exactly what I needed for my time in Cork. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this space to anyone looking to stay in Cork! Thank you Maité!
We had a great stay ! Maité is lovely.
I stayed two nights in Maite's place and I really enjoyed the very central location, the room was very comfy and the mattress is perfect.
I will recommend this room to anyone willing to visit Cork and the area.
Maité's house is really lovely. It has an old, quirky, arty feel to it and the room is indeed very cosy. It is on the top floor but this makes it very private and there is a small but also private toilet and shower as well as tea making facilities. Her house is very close to the city centre and about a 20 minute walk from UCC if you needed to get there. Though I didn't really get to meet Maité and her mum as I was too busy I had a great time and felt very safe and looked after. I was able to come and go as I pleased and I would definitely stay again. Thanks!
The room is nice clean and cosy. It is cc but quite:) Maité is really nice and no probelm with quick respond. The materace on bed is new and good to sleep:) I enjoy staying there and recomend anybody else.

Couldn't have asked for a better place to stay in cork. Such a wonderful city, and Maite's place was the perfect walking distance from town. Room is very private and affordable and Maite is a wonderful host. Hope to stay here again when I next visit Cork.
Haven't been back to cork for ages. Received a warm welcome and smile from Maite and her lovely pets. Place was quiet but close enough to the city centre and amenities were all provided including banter about valerian tea! Can't get more personal than that!
We loved staying here with Maite. The room and bath are very comfortable and her home is stunning. Very easy walk to plenty of restaurants, shops and pubs. Check out the Cork Arms pub, it was our favorite. Maite welcomed us at our arrival and made us feel right at home. Thank you! We hope to stay with you again. We loved your location and your city of Cork!
