The space
Green Owl is a 3000 sq. ft home built in 2002. It is graced with high ceilings, wonderful views, a large stone fireplace, wrap around porches and a spacious dining room. Original stained glass windows, mosaic sculptures and paintings created on site add to the charm and uniqueness of this home. Green Owl property is 4.5 acres with organic gardens, orchard and easy wide trails for nature walks, Green Owl is a pleasure to visit year round. Enjoy wildlife - deer, wild turkeys, rabbits, coyotes and lots of different species of birds, Steller Crested Blue Jays, Robins, Goldfinches and Quail to name a few. Come meander among oaks, cypress, pines and manzanitas and enjoy great views of the Vulcan Mountain range.

Guest access
The spacious living room with high ceilings, large windows and comfortable furniture is open to all guests day and evening. A large stone fireplace provides heat and a cozy hearth to gather around in the winter. A ceiling fan and open windows provide plenty of air circulation in the summer. Gorgeous views and an antique dining room table make the dining room a lovely room to have coffee or tea in the morning. In the dining room there is an apartment size refrigerator, toaster oven and microwave for guest use all day. Complementary organic coffee, tea and fresh filtered well water are self serve in the dining room. Please feel welcome to enjoy the views and fresh mountain air on the spacious front porch. Whether you are having morning beverages or a glass of wine (or mug of beer) kickback and relax at the outdoor coffee table, high seated chairs or lounge chairs.

I am often present in my private apartment, working in the art studio, in the gardens or in the office. I am happy to answer questions, give directions and recommend local restaurants and activities. Sometimes I may be not home in which case I will be available via texting and cell phone

Keep an eye out for deer, turkeys, rabbits, coyotes and lots of different species of birds, Steller Crested Blue Jays, Robins, Goldfinches and Quail. Across the street from Green Owl is the historic stone house that used to be a Julian apple packing station in the 1800s, later it became the home of Scott O’Dell the author of the historic fictional novel, Island of the Blue Dolphins.
