Mulhollow Bed and Breakfast is situated in a traditional Irish Village at the heart of the Wild Atlantic Way driving route and The Great Western Greenway cycling and walking route. We are surrounded by small plots of farmland near Keel on Achill Island, with our own livestock we keep the traditional farming of the area alive. Cycling Routes, Hill-Walking, Water Sports, Horse Riding, Pubs and Restaurants all on our doorstep.

An excellent home to visit Achill and all of Mayo.

Our Westcoast Breakfast is renowned for its Homemade Soda Breads, Irish Breakfast, Fresh Fruit, Yoghurts, and our selection of Cereals and Juices. All are freshly cooked and prepared to your liking.

We have great access to The Greenway Cycling & Walking Route, Westport, Connemara, Clare Island, Belmullet and The Erris Peninsula. We are on the Wild Atlantic Way Touring Route.
Enjoy many outdoor pursuits in the neighbourhood ... walking, cycling, angling, surfing and horse riding to name a few. We are lucky to have a great selection of good restaraunts, serving seafood, Achill Island Produce, and international cuisine. Our local pub is only 50 yards away!! Further afield, visit Westport House and Town, Ballycroy National Park, The Great Western Greenway and Public Swimming Pools.

We are served by Dublin (5hrs), Shannon (3.5hrs) and Ireland West International Airports (1.5hrs). There is a good Public Bus Service which stops nearby the Bed and Breakfast.

We are served by the public Bus Eireann which stops at River, (ask to be let off at The Cross, Bar & Café).
The train comes as far as Westport where you can hire a bike, car or get a taxi to us.
Our nearest airport is Ireland West Airport Knock, but Shannon Airport is also good for us at 4 hours drive and Dublin Airport at 3.5 hours drive.

Take a ferry ride to Clare Island from Cloughmore Pier. Spend the day discovering the people places and food of the Island. Home to the Pirate Queen Gráinuaile.

Croagh Patrick & Tóchar Padraig Heritage Trail Climb Ireland’s Pilgrimmage Mountain, Croagh Patrick. And if you have the energy you can start your pilgrimage at the ancient Ballintubber Abbey.

Enjoy a leisurely shopping trip to the planned market town of Westport. Take in the historic Westport house while you are there. Or visit one of the many hotel swimming pools and leisure centres. Bring the children and enjoy the Pirate Adventure Park in the grounds.

Ballycroy National Park
Highlighting the beautiful boglands of West Mayo, Ballycroy National Park, is a lovely day out, with plenty of fun thrown in. Take the bogland marked trail to the top of a hill to enjoy panoramic views of Achill and North Mayo.

In the village of Turlough, outside Castlebar, a great collection of folklore and heritage can be found.

Knock Shrine
The Story of Knock began on Thursday evening of the 21st August, 1879, Our Lady, St. Joseph and St. John the Evangelist appeared at the south gable of the church at Knock, County Mayo, Ireland.
