Simply put, the Carriage House was fantastic. Sally was a gracious host who left us more than enough information regarding the Falmouth area – which beaches were worth going to, which restaurants are good – and the pictures in the listing simply do not do this house justice. The place is gorgeous, spacious and super homey. The neighborhood is very quiet and only a short drive to town. The bed and couches are among the most comfortable I've ever laid on. This was my first time on the cape and I can't imagine having a better place to come back to at the end of the day than the Carriage House. I can't recommend this place higher.
Accurate description; received a few emails from host regarding how to get into the cottage and also sent an email the day of your arrival telling us that the cottage was available earlier than the planned time.
Lots of very helpful written information about restaurants, groceries and markets, and possible walks in the area, which we really appreciated.
The carriage house is in a very quiet neighborhood; the unit is very spacious, comfortable, and nicely decorated with little local art and personal touches.
Beds were great and kitchen basics, like coffee and sugar were provided, along with a great assortment of pots and pans, which we appreciated since we enjoy cooking!
We also enjoyed the close proximity to the Cape Cod National Seashore, which has great walks and educational information about the area.
Overall, a great place to stay!
"Carriage House in quiet setting" does not do the Carriage House, nor it's owner(s) justice. Sally graciously provided us with an incredible experience in a lovely setting...one that was just our style. The adorable house is nestled on a beautiful piece of property (although nothing was in bloom yet, I could visualize the gardens and landscape) situated adjacent to Sally's home, yet we felt as if we were in our own private sanctuary (with the exception of when Sally and Mike took a Corona break with us!) As for the inside of the house, it was light, airy, and welcoming, complementing our "home away from home." To boot, one just needs to take a walk down to the end of the road to continue with the overall peaceful, calm feel of the area, as the swans glided on the water, the osprey protected their nests, and other wildlife were seen or heard. The positive catch to all of this serene life is that the Carriage House is so conveniently located to hustle and bustle activity (should that be desired)...beaches, shopping, restaurants... via easy access main roads and/or scenic back roads. I could continue, but just as the description doesn't do the house or host justice, words don't necessarily either. The bottom line is, due to unforseen circumstances, we were in a situation where we had to quickly locate a new place to stay...all I have left to say is things happen for a reason. We were fortunate to have found Sally and her carriage house, and would undoubtedly stay there again. Thank you, Sally and Mike :)
Sally made my first stay at Cape Cod wonderful. The location was lovely and private. The Carriage House was immaculate, charming and well stocked. I especially appreciated Sally's thoughtfulness. She decorated the Carriage House for my stay during the Christmas holidays, giving it a warm and homey ambience. I thoroughly enjoyed my visit.
We had a lovely time at Sally's Carriage House. She had tons of good information (e.g., menus from local restaurants, things to see and do, etc.) for us to look through. The accommodations were very comfortable. Everything was very roomy and well kept. We have already decided we will stay at her Carriage House when we visit the Cape next time.
Sally is a terrific host! Her property is even more beautiful than described in the Airbnb listing and located in a very charming neighbouhood. The carriage house was absolutely perfect, beautifully decorated and we had everything we could possibly ask for and more. Sally really has thought of everything. I would have to say, Sally's place is my favorite Airbnb experience so far. Thanks Sally, we had an awesome sttay and can't wait to return next year!
