The Space

New, very clean, stunning ocean views from EVERY room, bright, spacious, marble floors everywhere, garage, absolute best location in the very HEART OF THE CITY, walking distance from everything, 10 minute walk or less to the BEACH, best neighborhood, air conditioning, terrace,...

Our holiday apartment is in a NEWLY constructed building in the heart of Tangier, close to absolutely everything. It's located on the main boulevard (Mohamed V), right next to the Boulevard Pasteur.
It's bright and spacious with BREATHTAKING OCEAN VIEWS of the Port, the Marina, the Bay, the Mediterranean, the Atlantic, Spain and the Medina from EVERY ROOM!!
It's only a 8-10 minute walk away from the Medina and the port but is not as dirty, loud, and you won't be harassed by hawkers who target tourist. This is the absolute center and it totally has the real essence of morocco.

A nice TERRACE to enjoy the views and feel the wonderful sea breeze!
The building has a swimming pool and we have a spot in the private garage (which is just an elevator ride away, 6 floors below). Very convenient supermarket, cafes, and restaurants onsite...

The apartment:
The KITCHEN is equipped with a stove, oven, 3-door refrigerator (bottom freezer), sink, juice maker, coffee maker, microwave and toaster. There are plenty of nice pots, pans, dishes and utensils.
It's totally safe to drink the water from the tap (but you might not like the taste).

The LIVING ROOM includes a flat panal big Satellite TV (Astra and Hotbird) with a Blue-ray DVD player and Hi-fi system.
And a nice leather couch and hard wood furniture.

There are 2 BEDROOMS:
1- The main bedroom has a bathroom en suite and a nice 6 m2 terrace. It's equipped with a queen-sized bed, with lots of closet and storage space.
2- The second bedroom accommodates 2 people. The bed is very interesting: it's very comfortable yet it's also expandable, making it both a single and a DOUBLE bed, 2 twin beds together. It has three large drawers incorporated into its frame.
All the mattresses are brand new and made of memory foam.

A 5th person can sleep in the couch. It's very, very confortable but it isn't a sofa-bed.

There are also 2 BATHROOMS:
1- The one en suite in the main bedroom has a full-size bathtub/shower, sink, toilet and bidet. The walls are made of black Atlas marble, while the floor is of white marble.
2- The second bathroom has a roomy glass-enclosed shower, a sink and a toilet of course, and white marble on the walls and floor.

The AIR CONDITIONING/ HEATER system is fully controllable and reaches every room.
The apartment has a washing machine, iron, ironing board and hair dryer.

A big PARKING space in the garage beneath the building is INCLUDED in the price. This is the very center of the city so if you bring a car, you will be needing it. :)

SMOKING is only allowed on the terrace outside, with the doors to the bedroom CLOSED. This way smokers are happy and non-smokers (like me) too. :) Our guests are totally respectful and It NEVER smells like smoke.

KIDS are welcome if they're supervised and well behaved. They also count as guests.

Guest Access

You can use the entire apartment.

*All the closets are for you to use. :D
*We have WIFI in the apartment, we recently upgraded the wifi and it works GREAT.
*We provide a USB Internet-Stick to use with your laptop everywhere in Tangier!
*We provide a CELL PHONE with SIM card for you to use during your stay... so that you can make local calls for reservations and your family can call you (you save the roaming!!).

*We provide clean sheets/ towels for every guest.
*We provide 1 beach towel/ guest, but if you like your own (that's my case when I travel), go ahead.
*We provide shampoo, hand soap and gel for you to use. :D
*There are 3 umbrellas you can use in case of rain.
*There's a beach umbrella.
*You'll find coffee, tea, herbal tea, sugar, etc...
*Fresh flowers to welcome every guest!!!

Interaction with Guests

We can communicate daily if you want. (Email or whatsapp). If we're not there, Rhimou will take care of everything. :D

The Neighborhood

The neighborhood is excellent and totally safe. Here you'll find most of the restaurants (cheap, moderate and expensive), bars, stores, boulangeries, pizza places, coffee shops, etc.

The area is very safe but there is also 24/7 security in the building and the parking.

There is an big supermarket (ACIMA) on floor -1 of the building, it is open every day of the week apart from a couple holidays. This is amazingly convenient. It's like having an extra refrigerator downstairs!!!

Getting Around

The apartment is so centrally located that you will probably only take the taxi to/from the airport. You can walk almost everywhere (and if you get tires, blue taxis are very cheap).
Here are some distances by foot:
The Tangier Bay and beach: 8-10 minutes.
The Medina: 10 minutes
The Zoco: 8 minutes
The old port: 10 minutes
The Kasbah: 15 minutes
Café de Paris, Minzah Hotel, etc: 5 minutes

The Airport is about 25 minutes away. Taxi 100DH (about 9€ or $12).

Tangier's port is very close (10-20 minutes by foot, less than 2 minutes by car).

The train Station is 5 min nutes away by taxi.

We have a driver that will take you to Assilah, Chefchaouen, etc. for a better deal than taxis. Ask me in advance. Sometimes this service is not available.

Other Things to Note

Check in/ check out: if no one is staying there before/ after you, it will be flexible. If we have other guests, the check in is at 3PM and the check out at 11PM. During this period of time, Rhimou will be preparing the apartment and guests CAN'T stay inside. However, you can toatlly leave your luggage inside while taking a nice walk. Just get in, grab the keys, leave your stuff and come back when the apartment is ready. :)
Very late or very early check in is permitted. But you'll have to tip Rhimou for the taxis and incoveniences. :)

We provide, if needed, laundry service, cleannig service and cooking service. All this has an extra charge and must be arranged in advance.

Tangier is also great for all kinds of water activities such as surfing, diving, fishing, sailing, etc. as well as horseback riding, camel riding :) , golf, etc.
You will find maps and guides about Tangier and Morocco in the apartment (in Spanish and English). The Tourist Office is only 2 blocks away on the Boulevard Pasteur!!
Also, we know really well the city and before your arrival we will send you 7 pages of tips and local information that will make your trip to Tangier an amazing one!!!! We've done the research for you and know the best options for restaurants, shops, bakeries, bars, etc.

House Rules

Las normas son las habituales de respeto a los vecinos, al medio ambiente y a los materiales de la casa...
*Por favor, deja la casa limpia y recogida. El precio de limpieza es bajo (20€) porque se supone que la casa se dejará en buen estado de limpieza. Si fuera necesario, se descontarían 8€/ hora de limpieza extra del depósito de seguridad. ¡Esto aun no ha ocurrido ni creemos que llegue a ocurrir! :) No te preocupes, no es que queramos que limpies el polvo o te pongas a frotar el suelo! :) Simplemente queremos que se cuide el apartamento y se deje en buenas condiciones de limpieza.
*La prostitución es absoultamente ilegal en Marruecos. Los guardias de seguridad del edificio llaman a la policía si la detectan y créeme: no quieres estar en la cárcel de Tánger. Si esa es tu intención, búscate otro apartamento.
*Respeta a los vecinos y a Rhimou, la persona que se encarga de las llaves y de cuidar el apartamento.
*Solo puede dormir la gente acordada en Airbnb.
*Lee con atención el archivo "Instrucciones" que te enviaremos una vez hagas la reserva.
*Por norma general, si hay más huéspedes antes o después que tú, la hora de salida son las 11h. y la de entrada las 15h. Rhimou necesita la casa VACÍA de 11h. a 15h. Puedes siempre dejar tus maletas.
*Si vas a hacer uso del garaje, debes comunicármelo ANTES de tu viaje.
*Sólo se permite fumar en la terraza.. y con las ventanas de la habitación pequeña y las puertas correderas cerradas (no os preocupéis, no os quedaréis encerrados!) :D Los huéspedes que viene después no quieren que la casa huela a tabaco.
*Nos encantan los animales, pero no se permiten mascotas en la casa...
*Es costumbre en Marruecos quitarse los zapatos al entrar en un apartamento o casa. Por favor, haced los mismo al entrar en el nuestro. Encontraréis babuchas en la entrada.
*Por favor, tened cuidado con el mármol.
*Medio ambiente: por favor, haced un uso responsable de la luz y el agua. Apagad también la calefacción / aire acondicionado antes de salir de casa (el sistema es muy bueno así que en seguida se enfría o se calienta la casa, no hace falta tenerlo encendido más que un rato).
*Supervisad a vuestros niños y niñas. :)
*Cuidad nuestro apartamento como querríais que cuidáramos el tuyo ... :)


*General tidiness is required. Please, leave the house more or less clean & tidy. The 20€ fee is for a "normal" cleaning of the house, because we assume the apartment will be left in clean conditions. If extra cleaning is needed, 8€/ hour will be taken from the security deposit (that has never happened yet, so don't worry! You don't have to dust or scrub the floors! ;) We just want our apartment to be well-cared for).
*Smoking is ONLY allowed on the terrace after the windows to the smaller bedroom and the sliding doors to the main bedroom have been closed!!! :D We really appreciate your respect regarding this issue. We let you smoke (if you're a smoker) and we assure you the house won't smell like smoke (if you're a non smoker).
*Enjoy the apartment and the city!!! (The most important rule. ;)...).
*Respect the neighbors! :D
*Only people booked in Airbnb allowed.
*Be very nice and respectful to Rhimou, our caretaker. She's the nicest woman in the world and she's like a member of our family.
*Rhimou needs the place with no people between 11,00AM and 3PM if other guests are arriving before/after you. You can always leave your luggage and grab the keys for later! :)
*Tell us the aproximate time of your arrival and departure around 48 hours before your arrival.
*You're welcome to use the garage for free, but you must tell me BEFORE your trip so that I can arrage the garage pass for you (and I take my own car out ;).)
*We LOVE animals but pets are not allowed... sorry...
*The tradition in Morocco is to take off your shoes when you enter an apartment or house. Please, TAKE OFF YOURS when you are in our apartment. You'll find slippers at the entrance!
*Please take care of the marble.
*Please turn off the lights/ water/ if not in use.
*Turn off the heater/ air conditioning when you leave the house.
*Read well the instructions I'll be sending you. Also you'll get tons of recommendations about what to do in Tangier!
*Kids are welcome if they're supervised and well behaved.
*Prostitution is illegal in Morocco. The security guards call the police when they detect it in the building and trust me, you don't want to be arrested in Morocco. If that's your plan in Tangier, my home is not for you. Find yourself another place.
*No parties in the apartment.
*Please take care of our apartment like you would want us to take care of yours... :)
