We had a wonderful and relaxed stay at Kim's extraordinary house in Cliffton beach. He is a wonderful host making your stay extremely comfortable and relaxed! Highly recommended!
Even though I decided to stay in Sydney the entire length of my trip, I do regret not being able to stay at Kim's beautiful home. But he was so friendly and answered all my questions when I was deciding to book a trip to Cairns. He is a wealth of knowledge about the area. When I go back to Australia for a longer stay, I will definitely book Kim's home when I finally see the reef.
Thank you to Kim, Lou and Ash for an awesome time in Cairns!
Kim was a great host who set up delicious breakfasts for us each morning - He gave us the space to do whatever we wanted to and provided us with assistance and information when need be.
Lou and Ash, Kim's dogs, always greeted us with their wagging tails and were great company.
Overall, we couldn't recommend a better place to stay! We look forward to coming back.
P.S. The bathroom is absolutely stunning!
My husband and I stayed at Kim's beautiful home for 5 days and loved our time there. The home really is beautifully designed and the gardens give the space a secluded and peaceful feel. Kim struck the perfect balance of giving us space to 'do our own thing' and being thoughtfully present to answer our questions and have a chat.
We can wholeheartedly recommend Kim's home and hospitality :)
Kim is a genial, thoughtful and attentive host. This is a very special B&B that ticks all the boxes. Kim's background in horticulture is evident not only in the garden but in the home, creating a wonderfully relaxed, peaceful ambience in a quiet neighbourhood.
Wonderful hospitality and accommodation, Kim offers a jewel in the crown of interesting tropical housing and Australian friendliness; thank you once again for making my visit to Far North Queensland a most enjoyable time and I will be back for a stay at Kim's.
We passed 4 days at kim's home, and we can recommand Kim's house without any hesitations.
Kim is a really thoughtful host and we enjoyed our discussions. Kim gave us a high degre of freedom and was really helpful. We really feld at home!
He make a breakfast every mornig for you, with lot of fresh fruits.
The tropical style house is really modern, space, beautiful and well designed. The bedroom is nice too, and the bed relly confortable. The bathroom is just for us incredible (we want the same 'inside/out' shower).
The garden offer a marvelous place to rest, discover exotic flora, with lot of butterfly! or a good place to play with the two nice dogs!
The place is closed to cliffton beach, no so far away of multiple possibilities (forest, sky rails, see, city, museum, zoo, etc.). Pacific is at only 5 minutes from house by walk and beach is wonderfull.
Thanks a lot kim, for all ;)
About the Host, Kim
I am essentially a gardener who loves all about any sort of gardens. I have half acre to develop over time. I write about gardens and edit the Cairns Post Garden Column (for the past 12 years).
I love the tropics in the north of Australia for its easy way of living and being away from big cities.
I travel a lot to China, PNG and Asia on work mostly and also work in remote Australian desert communities on horticulture production programs.
I'm looking forward to a variety of guests from just about anywhere as a stimulating experience that is mutual and builds new friendships.
