Our convict built 1830 cottage has guests spellbound. Original sandstone walls in bathroom and bedroom. Spacious living area. Very comfortable, cool in summer, warm in winter. Recline your couch with your loved one by the fire. Enjoy the 4 poster bed
The open plan living room is enhanced by the lovely windows with small panes and wide sandstone sills. You bedroom and bathroom have the original exposed convict sandstone very old Baltic pine walls. Comfort and romance are the primary factors in this superb historic cottage
Enjoy the back garden. We have setup spaces that suit what you are looking for if you wish to have a quiet chat, happy hour drink. Access the river which backs onto our land. Sit on the secret Lurve seat at the bank of the river and enjoy the water birds and fish, maybe catch a view of a platypus.

Ross is officially (Federal Government study) the most significant historic village in Australia. When you stay with us you are part of our lovely community
Ross is a comfortable walk to all its unique attractions. Getting to and from Ross is best done by car

You are located in the central historic precinct of the village. The cottage is part of the well photographed leafy main street
Our guests are always respectful of our very unique decore. At the same time you can feel perfectly relaxed and very comfortable.
Sue and I enjoy history, old buildings, even old cars. We have been operating tourist accommodation in Ross Tasmania since 1987. We love the unique life style Ross has to offer. Can't beat finishing off the day with a red wine at our river bank frontage watching fish jumping and the water birds. You will love the serene tree lined streets and historic buildings as much as we do.
