We have a well maintained if small (2 bedrooms, 800 square feet) fully furnished house in the Richmond Annex (San Mateo @ Santa Cruz). Large, landscaped yard, deck, washer/dryer, gas barbeque. Cable internet -- but no cable TV unless we make arrangements. Netflix! Approximately one mile from El Cerrito Plaza, BART, Richmond Marina. Close to freeway. Bay view of sorts. The back cottage will also be a separate Air BnB rental -- so sometimes it will be occupied. House has king size bed, futon, second inflatable bed if wanted. Pets okay w/additional deposit. Two week minimum rental.
We will be fussy about damage; we'll want to take a walk-through before you take possession and agree on already present scratches, etc. We'll make sure it's cleaned and stocked with sundries; otherwise, gross filth would not be cool, and if you must smoke (anything) DO IT OUTSIDE, but we won't be too concerned if the toilet paper's depleted. Keep the house locked. If you plan to bring a pet, you should let us know so we can discuss an increased deposit. Our children will be in the area; they'll (hopefully) come by once or twice to water the lawn and see if there are any problems.
Colin was a gracious host, he was at home when we arrived and did a walk-through with us to point out the various features. He then left us with contact information in case anything went wrong, but otherwise stayed out of our way.
The house was just as described and very comfortable for a month stay in the East Bay. The house is furnished and has internet and a nice TV. The back yard is spacious and very sunny and pleasant in the afternoon (west-facing). The house is just far enough from the freeways and San Pablo to be fairly quiet but still with great access to shopping and the rest of the Bay Area. The neighborhood is nice and feels safe to go for a walk day or night.
This was a great affordable house for two people and a dog. The house was exactly as described and shown in the pictures. There were clean linens and plenty of fresh towels when we arrived. The kitchen was equipped with everything you need to cook meals. We also used the gas grill and enjoyed dinners on the deck watching the sun set across the Bay. The property had a couple of lemon trees and lots of tomato plants, which Colin graciously allowed us to sample. The neighborhood was quiet and safe. We felt very comfortable walking our dog at night. There’s easy access to the freeway. The El Cerrito BART station is about a 20 minute walk from the house. There are a couple of hills on that walk. We enjoyed checking out the shops and restaurants in nearby El Cerrito and Albany. Our dog also liked being close to Point Isabel, which is one of the largest off-leash dog parks in the country. Colin was very helpful throughout the entire process from booking through the end of our stay. He answered our questions and provided us with all the information we needed for an enjoyable stay.
The place looks exactly as it's shown here on the photos, love the place and the neighborhood , quiet and safe, can easily travel one mile to El Cerrito Plaza where you can get literally everything there. Although I did not have a chance to meet Colin, he had been very nice and helpful by providing all the information I need before my arrival, and also helped me to get my pet supplies for my cat. Yes his does allow pet. Highly recommended.

I am a late middle-aged (53), early-retired man of extreme political views (left and right) but otherwise fairly harmless. About my only definite need is for quiet late (after 11:00 pm) at night. Otherwise, coffee in the morning is nice but not essential. My wife is younger (41) but otherwise about the same minus the coffee.
Interests include history, fishing, art, food and drink, gardening, and potentially just about anything. We'd usually be trying to get out the door by 10:00 am and would be back by around 9:00 pm, depending on circumstances. We're able to leave a place as clean as we found it.
Although we speak only English and Spanish, we're comfortable exchanging elementary needs, etc by whatever means come to hand. Amenities are nice, but we can adjust to anything except the aforementioned noise, a complete lack of privacy, or serious dirt.
