This charming North Beach flat is at the foot of Coit Tower. It is located in a quiet residential area, yet only walking distance to many local restaurants and sites. You will definitely feel like a local during your stay in this area and flat.
This is the top unit of a 4 unit building which makes it light and sunny. There are lots of stairs (no elevator) so feel free to load up on your pasta. Nonna climbed them for years!
You will be within walking distance to Fisherman's Wharf, Pier 39, North Beach restaurants, the Embarcadero and Chinatown. A car isn't recommended unless you plan on doing day trips to Napa, etc. There is a lot of transportation within walking distance including buses, Cable Cars and Ferries. If you decide to drive, there are parking garages a few blocks away that will charge a daily rate. There is no street parking over 2 hours.
The flat is very comfortable. The 2 bedroom, 1 bath flat is furnished with 2 queen beds with new mattresses, a loveseat sofa sleeper in the living room, table & chairs for the seating area in the kitchen, One bedroom does not have a closet but there is a large walk-in closet in the hallway. There is a small rooftop area with great views. The flat is also equipped with wi-fi, cable TV, hairdryer, iron, ironing board, pots, pans, dishes, etc.
NO PARTIES. Please be considerate of the other tenants.
NO SMOKING INSIDE THE APARTMENT.
HEATER. Please turn off the heater when you depart.
PLEASE USE HAIRDRYER IN THE BATHROOM ONLY TO AVOID OVERLOADING CIRCUITS. IF THE CIRCUIT IS TRIPPED, YOU MUST RESET FROM THE GARAGE.
If you're looking for the San Francisco experience, come to this apartment. My weeklong stay at this lovely listing was comfortable, problem-free, and filled with breath-taking views (rooftop deck with SF skyline and the Golden Gate bridge). I was with 2 colleagues from work and the layout of the apartment provided us with ample privacy - 2 bedrooms with comfortable beds + a pullout couch in a separate living room at the end of the hall. North Beach is a fantastic neighborhood and Joel's list of restaurants and cafes was very helpful (go to Cafe Trieste for their espresso and people watching). Really enjoyed our stay.
Great! We had a really nice time exploring the neighborhood, and the location is convenient to walk to many of the city's attractions.
Apartment was clean, and slept 4 people easily between the two bedrooms. Would definitely stay again.
A nice place to stay for a visit to San Francisco. The apartment has a great layout for 3-4 people. The front TV room is lovely and sunny, and the view from the upstairs balcony is stunning!
Unfortunately when we arrived there was a huge hole in the skylight! Not sure how it happened, but Joel came around the next day to put a tarp over it.
Couples: be aware that the mattress in the bedroom closest to the TV room has quite a large dip in the middle, which can make the bed quite uncomfortable with two people!
We really enjoyed our stay at Joel's flat. It is perfectly located for anyone experiencing the north end of the SF peninsula - easy walking distance to all attractions. Joel was an accommodating host and the flat was exactly as offered. Highly recommend this rental!
Joel was very accommodating to us. He left the keys to the front gate in a code lock box on the gate and the front door was code entry which allowed for us to check in whenever we wanted. The apartment was the perfect size for two couples. It had two bedrooms with full/queen beds, a full kitchen, comfortable living room and a full bathroom. The apartment also had roof access with had great views of the bay and downtown. The neighborhood, North Beach, was very nice and quiet. There were a number of bars, restaurants and shops right down the block. Overall great experience and I would recommend it to all.
Terrific apartment! Awesome location, wonderful views, comfortable beds, great kitchen. We really enjoyed our stay here. Joel was very helpful and accomodating of our arrival on Thanksgiving day.
From the rooftop patio you can see allot. It was a perfect place to drink coffee in the morning and it was a great place for my host Joel to give me a 360 degree quick rundown of what direction to go for anything I needed. Joel was friendly and forgiving. I locked myself out 5 minuets after he left me alone and he came back with a smile to let me back in. I would rent this place again in a heartbeat. I loved how close it was to some fun bars and restaurants. Grant street is only one street in the city but I loved it. 15 Romolo was probably one of the best places I had cocktails and some delicious food.

I'm a San Francisco native. I love my city and still have many childhood friends in North Beach. I enjoy walking from the flat down to pick up focaccia from Liguria Bakery, having lunch at Joe's, or just relaxing with a coffee at one of the cafes. I never tire of the local restaurants and still haven't tried them all. I also enjoy wine tasting in the Napa Valley or heading out to Stinson Beach for a day. I'd be happy to answer questions about touring San Francisco or the Bay Area and hope you have a wonderful time in this beautiful city.
