On the island there is a road for cars that connects the port with Chora, as well as with most of the interesting locations of the island. The community bus runs routes connecting the port with Chora and other interesting destinations. For those looking for more flexibility in exploring the island, the option to rent a car or a motorcycle is also available. The length of the highway to Chora is about four kilometers.
There is a shorter path, which connects Chora with the port at a distance of about 20-25 minutes on foot. The route is much easier from Chora to Agios Nikolaos. It is downhill and provides an easy way to enjoy the nightlife in Chora and return on foot without the need for a means of transport.
Other things to note
In the port area you will find a restaurant, an ATM machine and a cafeteria. From this season, a mini market is also operating in the area. Other areas where you will find food and entertainment are Klisidi, Chora and Roukounas.
Mobile signal in the port area is available for wind (very good), cosmote (moderate) while vodafone has no signal at all. To communicate via vodafone, you'll need to either go to the edge of the port or use the wifi-calling service if you're connected via wifi. The beaches after Klisidi have no cell phone signal at all.
Access to the rooms is via stairs and are therefore intended more for guests who enjoy hiking and feel comfortable with stairs. On the other hand, the placement of the rooms at a height, offers a unique view. There is also a low-intensity sound coming from the local power plant, which is constant and most people do not notice it.
Breakfast is not included in the price. Check-in is from 14:00 and check-out until 11:00.
