Your hosts are a typical Portland couple--Brian is a Portland native, and works in the coffee industry, and will offer you your daily cup or three in a myriad of ways. Shannon is fluent in Danish and Chinese, and practices acupuncture and Chinese medicine at a busy clinic, little Kieran is 2, and likes to kick soccer balls, eat avocados and dance.
Our home is childproofed, and we have a spare pack and play and lots of books and toys to share with our youngest guests.
In addition to coffee and Chinese medicine we enjoy cooking, wine, craft beer, movies, indie music, sporting events, international travel, and always enjoy meeting new people.

Please just be mindful of banging doors when the baby is sleeping-- he takes a nap from 11-2,and goes down around 7 in the evening. However he sleeps very well-- we watch TV, throw dinner parties, live normally while he is asleep.
The Yellow room was great! Roadtripping we got in later than expected and Shannon and her husband were very gracious. The room was clean and bright, super comfortable and there were plenty of materials to answer all of our Portland questions. The house was easy to find, it matched the picture perfectly. We took their recommendation and had brunch our first morning in Portland at Toast a minute away and it was amazing.
I truly enjoyed my stay at your lovely home. It was clean, attractive, and you and your husband are friendly and fun hosts.
The room is nice and cozy. The location is close to many delicious places, and the host has prepared a document that lista those places.
the hosts were awesome and friendly, even the little kid! they definitely put in an effort to make us feel at home, which was greatly appreciated. the layout of the house is really nice, with the little private door and downstairs living area. the place is also very close to some really nice restaurants. thanks for the great portland memories!
We had a wonderful time at Brian and Shannon's home. Their hospitality was fantastic. They made sure that we felt comfortable and we definitely did. Brian and Shannon have adorable kids and we enjoyed interacting with them. The bed was very comfortable and as a big coffee drinker, I appreciated the fact that coffee was always available! I would recommend their home highly and we definitely plan to stay with them the next time we visit Portland.
Shannon and Brian were amazing hosts, and made us feel welcome in their home. We had a great time getting to know them and letting our kids play together. For our first Air BnB foray, this couldn't be beat. They were also very knowledgeable about things that we could do in Portland and the area that were family friendly. This was great, because we came without doing a lot of preplanning. Thanks so much for a fantastic experience!

About the Host, Shannon
I'm a Sinologist and Five Element Acupuncturist in private practice in Portland Oregon, and am married to Brian, who does consulting for local coffee and beer companies. We have a gorgeous son, Kieran, born in October of 2011. We are avid travelers, and love to meet new people.
Brian is a coffee snob, and loves cooking and wine tasting. Kieran is obsessed with trains and enjoys music, books, swimming, and eating.
My favorite travel destination is China, and Thailand is a close second. Brian prefers Bali, and would love to eat his way through Italy and France.
