Our stay at Ben's place was really delightful. His cosy and comfortable apartment made us feel right at home. It's really clean and has everything you need. Unlike most other budget hotels or apartments, the wifi here works great giving us the opportunity to do research for our trip when needed. Ben was a wonderful host too, really nice guy! We recommend staying here to anyone and everyone as the location is superb and not to mention really easy to get to for travellers without a car. Really value for money :)

Great clean room in a nice apartment building in Auckland City Centre, easy walk to waterfront or other surrounding attractions. Ben was a delightful host.
Bens apartment is perfectly situated in the centre of the city and allowed us to make the most of our stay in Auckland. Ben was very welcoming from the minute we arrived and was a pleasure to meet and stay with. We were able to make ourselves at home and enjoy the space with the reassurance that Ben was there if we had any questions. We would definitely recommend staying with Ben as he is a great guy and is always willing to give advice and ideas on things to do in Auckland.
Fantastic location! The apartment was right at the heart of Auckland city and was a breeze to access. The place was spacious, clean, secure and warm.
This was our first experience with airbnb and Benjamin made us feel welcomed and at home at his place. We asked him for his recommendation for a brunch place and we loved the that cafe he recommended so much that it ultimately became our favourite brunch among all that we've had throughout our entire trip in New Zealand. Definitely would want to stay here again!
Unbeatable location, excellent accommodation, top notch host!
Two city blocks from the harbour and transit hub, and surrounded by good to great restaurants you can't do any better than this location in downtown Auckland. Ben's guest room is spacious enough for two, fresh and light, and thoughtfully appointed. (It's a treat to have enough space such that you don't trip over your suitcase!) Ben is an attentive yet easy going, warm host. I highly recommend him and am highly likely to stay with him again.
Benjamin was a wonderful host. He coordinated perfectly with me by email to ensure that he was home when I arrived. He immediately invited me to make myself at home. He offered tips about the city and wonderful things to do. I highly recommend spending some time with him, learning about NZ from a true Kiwi. He is only too happy to explain his country to travelers. I arrived on a weekend, and he even took me to some of his favorite bars for a night on the town, sadly my jetlag got the best of me on this trip. However, if ever back in Auckland, I would definitely stay with Ben again. Centrally located to EVERYTHING!!!
As promised here is our full review of Ben's place following our 2 separate stays with him in Auckland. Ben was very accommodating for both myself and my girlfriend upon our arrival considering how late we flew into Auckland (we got to Ben's after midnight).
The two best things about the listing are the location and Ben himself. With his friendly personality providing a welcoming atmosphere and his knowledge of Auckland second to none. In terms of the location, you could hardly be closer to all the best sights and transport links you could need.
Ben's place is clean, spacious and secure and overall both my girlfriend and I were extremely pleased with our first Air BnB experience. If we were visiting Auckland again, we'd request to stay with Ben before looking anywhere else!
About the Host, Benjamin
I'm an Auckland born and raised guy, with a passion for sharing my city with guests from around the world.
I've been hosting on AirBnB for the last couple of years, and have been fortunate to meet the most wonderful people from a variety of backgrounds; younger backpackers, grandparents, business people and every shade of grey in between.
I take hospitality seriously and personally. I'm here to make your stay in Auckland comfortable, easy, and authentic.
Don't worry though your holiday is your holiday. I'm around if you need me, be it for a glass of wine in the evening, or a chat over coffee in the morning, otherwise I'll be at work, and you'll be out exploring what I reckon is the best world-class little city in this part of the world.
Check out my Heritage in the Central City listing, and I'll see you soon in the Heart of Auckland City.
