This is a nice and light room, great for a single person. There is a french bed (140 cm × 190 cm). But if you are in two and want to save money by staying in a one of the most beautiful places in Rome, then this room is for you, it is quite suitable for two people!
The apartment is located in the heart of the historical center of Rome, Trastevere, one of the most charming and characteristic neighborhoods of the capital, rich in history with its beautiful medieval squares and alleys. To arrive in my apartment:
From Rome Fiumicino, if you do not want to take a taxi, you can take the train to "Rome Trastevere Station". From there you can take the tram 8 direction piazza venezia, and get off at Piazza Mastai. 4 minutes walking, and you will arrive at my apartment
Room has an excellent location, in the heart of Trastevere, surrounded by many nice restaurants and bars. The room is as pictured: very comfortable and very clean.
Maurilio is a great host! He was very nice, flexible and willing to give tips :)
I would absolutely recommend this room to everyone!!!
The room is as pictured. It's one room in a three bedroom apartment on the third floor.
Maurilio is a great host, has tips when asked either wise lets you do your own thing.
The location of the apartment is ideal! Great neighborhood on a wonderful street. It's a short 5 minute walk to the tram. Also an enjoyable walking distance of 25-40 minutes to all the major sight seeing and museums.
The only down side for us was the temperature of Rome in the summer. Because of the temperature being above 85*F the room was warm at night, barely tolerable - even with a fan.
We tried the outer shade over the window as suggested but there was no air flow in the room so we had the window open the entire time.
Was an easy and present stay.
I have a great 10 day stay at Maurillio's BnB. What a fantastic host in Trastevere. My stay could not have been better. This was a working vacation as I was studying Italian, too. The bed is comfortable and the room has sufficient space. The apartment and my room was very clean. Everything I needed was there. It is quiet for sleeping when the window was closed. When I slept with the window open I sometimes used earplugs "just in case", particularly if I went to sleep early. This was my 7th trip to Rome and my 1st time to stay in this neighborhood. Trastevere is now the only place for me.
Maurilio was waiting for us even we were two hours late.
The room was a little small but that was no problem for us
The bed was suiteble for two persoons
The bathroom was clean and so the kitchen
The great thing of the place of Maurilio is that when you walk outsite you are in the real center of Trastevere: around the corner you have the famous square of Maria.
We liked Maurilio from the very beginning! Very hospitable, nice and helpful in the situations where we needed somebody who speaks Italian. The apartment is located in the very heart of trastevere, probably the best place to stay in Rome.
Thank you Maurilio for a great vacation in Rome!

Nice, clean room in a great area. Maurilio was helpful and communicative.
You're going to love this place. Here's why:
1. Convenient location. If you're in Rome to be a tourist (I was) you'll be happy to discover that you're within a moderate stroll of pretty much everything your guidebook tells you to see. It's far enough off the beaten track that you're not completely surrounded by other tourists (at least not in December), but close enough that you can get by without knowing Italian.
2. Great neighborhood. Wandering around Trastevere is way more fun than dodging hawkers outside the Colosseum. And if wandering isn't your thing, there'(email hidden) around the corner from Maurilio's place -- Bar San Calisto -- that serves espresso in the morning and drinks at night to a friendly crowd of folks from the neighborhood. (If you're a really light sleeper, the happy chatter from the bar could keep you up, I guess. But I'm not. Didn't bother me.)
3. Maurilio's the best. I first contacted him while I was getting on the plane to Rome, and when I touched down a few hours later, everything was settled and ready to go. Maurilio is flexible, thoughtful, helpful, and enthusiastic -- the ideal host. His place isn't huge, but it is tidy, cozy, and homey. If you're traveling solo or as a couple, this is the place you're looking for.
So what are you waiting for? Book it, before someone else does.
Ciao Maurilio . . . Trastevere is magical with little colorful alleys full of small shops and restaurants, you definitely feel as though you're in Rome. So many people walking around late into the night, and sitting in the Square watching musicians and entertainers. The room is small but adequate and Maurilio is charming, a perfect host, making your visit a memorable one. I definitely recommend the small local bar/cafe on the corner for the first morning cappuccino, one-third the price! Thanks Maurilio, hope to see you next time ;)
