A variety of Keurig coffee, tea and hot chocolate will be available for all guests.
NOTE: This is a laid back, comfortable home with lots of personality and charm. It is a "working home", meaning that I live in the house when we are not renting it. When renting The Victorian expect a fun, cute and comfortable atmosphere!
We have neighbors living behind our house in a separate residence on the property, please be respectful of them.
Parking for two cars can be arranged in the driveway, but you must be courteous as the driveway is shared with the neighbor behind. Absolutely no blocking the driveway. I can also direct guests to the overnight parking within the town. THERE IS NO OVERNIGHT PARKING ON THE STREET - you WILL be ticketed!
A resident of The Victorian will meet you at the house upon your arrival (or arrange for someone to meet you). Our standard check-in time is 4 p.m. and check-out is noon. If you need some flexibility for those times contact me and we will do our best to accommodate you, but please use these times as a rough guideline.
Interaction with Guests
We will be available for questions, concerns, or to interact with guests as much as they would like during your stay.
Sea Cliff is a very walk-able and artistic town. In the village you will find several restaurants (look up Metropolitan Bistro, Oak Room and Musu of Sea Cliff) and bars for your entertainment as well as galleries, shops with handmade gifts, and coffee shops. Also available nearby are convenient stores for any amenities you might desire (such as an ATM, Starbucks, CVS, and 24-hour 7-11).
The closest LIRR stop is the Sea Cliff train station which can be reached by a 5 minute cab ride or a 15 minute walk. Everything in town can be accessed by foot. Please note though, that the walk to the beach is down a steep stairway, we are on a cliff by the sea after all :)
Other Things to Note
We are flexible with allowing well behaved dogs as guests, as long as they are supervised and picked up after. You *must* give us notification that you want to bring your dog before booking your reservation. (Sorry no cats due to allergies.)
The cleaning fees are as follows:
2-4 days = $50
4-7 days = $100
7+ days = $150
I will adjust your total based on these fees after accepting your reservation as Airbnb doesn't allow for customized cleaning fee adjustments, and I think this is the fairest pricing method for all reservations. We appreciate you being neat and tidy guests and leaving the house in the condition you found it and will reward with very positive reviews!
We are accommodating of a change in the number of guests on your reservation up until 3 days before your arrival. We understand things come up and sometimes a friend can't make it anymore or an extra friend wants to join. However, you must finalize your number of guests with us 3 days before your arrival so that we have time to adjust your total. If it is discovered on check-in, during your visit, or after check-out that extra guests have been present your security deposit will be at stake.
Note: if you are contacting me about filming a production on the property a $300 filming fee will also apply. Standard check-in/check-out times apply for filming, and if additional time is required you will be charged an additional night's stay. Thanks!
By booking this premises you agree to sign a wavier upon arrival stating that you will only use the trampoline at your own risk. The residents of this property are not responsible for any injuries caused by using the trampoline.
We prefer a minimum two night stay. If you are looking for a one night stay contact me to further discuss the possibility, I can usually accommodate this.
We prefer guests renting the house be over the age of 25 years old (excluding any children accompanying adults renting the house - families are always welcome and this is a great spot for children!)
Absolutely no smoking inside. Please no overly rambunctious nights, parties or late night socializing on the porch (must respect the neighbors!). We appreciate clean and responsible guests.
Have a great time!!
100 year old Victorian house in Sea Cliff, N.Y. with 6 bedrooms with loads of character and a gorgeous porch and yard to enjoy those cool summer nights!
The house was definitely big enough for our large group. It was nice to all be together unlike in a hotel.
There wasn't room to unpack anything, so we had to live out of our luggage. I booked on short notice (a week), so the host stated there wasn't time to clean. The house could've used a good cleaning, it's easy to tell a dog lives in the house.
But, for what we needed it for, the house was fine.
The host was very friendly. We had a wonderful time in this lovely house.
PROS: Big, beautiful house and just a short walk to cute restaurants and bars in downtown Sea Cliff. Public beach is beautiful as well! Great for groups who want to spend time together catching up on the spacious porch and unwind from city life. CONS: house is tidy but could use a deep clean (especially the kitchen) considering there is a cleaning fee. Hosts couldn't be flexible with check in or check out times, despite saying so in the listing. Fridge was packed with their groceries and so there was little room for ours. OVERALL: would book again and recommend to friends!
Pros: The house definitely had plenty of room to accommodate a large group. It was in a nice quiet location and blocked off from the road by hedges, so somewhat private. Lots of fun games and space in the yard to play. Very easy to walk to all areas of Sea Cliff for provisions, or to restaurants or the beach.
Cons: The house is definitely being used as a day-to-day residence. There is nowhere to store your things, so you live out of your luggage. There are animals living there as well, so someone will share a room with an (empty) dog crate. The fridge and freezer were full of their own groceries, with little room to add our own items, and we had a large group to feed/cook for. There's a garage in back of the house where people came and went; it shares a property and driveway, though we have no idea who they were. The house was tidy, but not particularly clean-feeling.
Very pretty area, and the house was perfectly situated for a weekend with friends! Stephanie did a perfect job preparing the house, and all of the bedrooms were very well kept.
My siblings and I booked the house on very short notice for just a night to attend a memorial event for a deceased family member. We had our elderly parents with us so we thought a home environment would be more comfortable than staying in hotel rooms. We enjoyed the short stay. The house was very comfortable and worked well for us. Planning, arrival, and departure went very smoothly and I would recommend the house to groups looking for a comfortable laid back accommodation. Sea Cliff is a beautiful town and it would have been nice to spend more time walking around town.
