Guests should expect to see their hosts from time to time in the guest common area working to provide the cleanest possible accommodations and the best possible service. Velo Bed and Breakfast Policies:
Each guest beyond 2 in the West room will be an additional $40 charge per night. 2 guests renting this room who wish to have separate beds will be charged an additional $25 fee.
There is a refrigerator for guests to use, however, we are a vegetarian establishment and as such ask guests to bring only vegetarian food inside the premises.
Velo is a shoe-free space in an effort to keep the premises as clean as possible for guests at all times. The cork floor is very comfortable for bare feet, however some may prefer to bring their own slippers.
No burning of any kind for any reason is allowed inside the premises. Velo provides many LED flameless candles for guests' use in their room.
While the B and B is segregated from the main part of the house, guests should expect to see their hosts from time to time in the guest common area working to provide the cleanest possible accommodations and the best possible service.
Verizon is currently the only provider in this area for high-speed internet service, which means we have limited data access, just as one would have for a smartphone, for example.
Each room is allotted access to 500 mbs of data per day, plenty for guests to check email and surf the web. However, streaming of video or audio (ie hulu, youtube, Pandora, (website hidden), etc) will likely exceed this allotment. Once guests have exceeded their allotment, our system will terminate internet access to that room and will not reactivate it until next day’s check-in time. Guests may want to suspend their devices’ automatic download settings during their stay so as not to inadvertently use up their data allotment.
For entertainment, guests are welcome to watch movies from our dvd collection, and for those who do not have laptops with them, we have dvd players available for guests’ use as well. Just ask!
Well-behaved children ages 10 and over are welcome!
Guests may not sleep overnight on the guest common room couch.
Lovely setting, accommodating hosts. Food was delicious! Great place for a short stay in Eugene.
We absolutely loved our stay at Velo! It was the perfect location to come home to after a day of vineyard hopping in the area. Misha was incredibly welcoming, and was an incredibly gracious host from the moment we walked in. The space is just as gorgeous as pictured on the site, and complete with everything you could possibly need.
Coming home to warm apple crisp waiting for us in the living space was simply magical! Not to mention Misha's delicious Mexican-inspired spicy breakfast in the morning.
So glad to have found such a gem, and looking forward to the next time we are in the area so that we can return!
Booked this B&B for my out of town guests and couldn't be happier with the accommodations that were provided. Everything about this place was wonderful. Food was tasty and made with home grown veggies, hosts were engaging, helpful and kind. Surroundings were peaceful and beautiful. Not far from town, but enough to feel like you were out in the country.
Misha and Rob's wonderful listing was by far the best AirBNB experience we've ever had. Impeccably clean, stylishly decorated, and displaying original art created by friends there is both comfort and charm in an abode that is anything but kitschy. Personal touches reflecting their lives, like coasters and drawer knobs made from cycling parts and vegetarian magazines, decorate the common areas and the bedrooms. These special touches reflect the intent they had in creating this space as something truly unique for their guests.
We stayed as a party of three in the West Room. We were cared for beyond any want or need and stayed perfectly cozy throughout the night. In fact, Misha did such a great job taking care of us that the following night we stayed with another AirBNB listing in another city and it was such an awful experience from the moment we stepped through the door that we left and went to get an expensive hotel trying to channel the luxury we has experienced the night previously with Misha.
Also, there is SO MUCH TEA! I had a tea-bonanza before bed--reading through what seemed like over 50 types of tea finding the right one before bed. The food she serves--incredibly tasty. We cannot say enough good things about Misha or this listing. You're truly lucky if you have the pleasure of staying here.
One of the more welcoming, calming, relaxing, beautifully landscaped B&B's I have experienced. Velo was very clean with a smart floor plan. The bed was comfortable and every room had views of gardens. Our breakfasts were gourmet with produce Misha grew herself. Tea was available 24/7 and in the evenings she had yummy apple crisp or gluten free cookies waiting for us. Dietary requests were welcomed and that made it easier for us being gluten free. Its a short drive to town, so the location is prime. Can't wait to go again!
I STAYED AT VELO FOR A WEEK, IT BEING A CONVENIENT LOCATION BETWEEN RELATIVES. IT WAS THE PERFECT PLACE. MY ROOMS WERE COMFORTABLE, THE COFFEE, A CRUCIAL PART OF MY MORNING RITUAL, WAS DELICIOUS, AS WAS THE FRESH FRUIT AND THE HOME MADE GRANOLA. I FOUND MISHA TO BE A TRULY WONDERFUL WOMAN. SMART AND VERY GENEROUS. ROB WASN’T AROUND SO I ONLY SAW HIM.
I ALREADY HAVE MY NEXT RESERVATION AND LOOK FORWARD TO BEING THERE AGAIN.
Our stay was wonderful! The house was lovely and very clean. Misha is a fantastic cook and made us feel at home.
