Lovely en suite room in organic B&B. Organic and/or USA-made bedding & towels. Locally made and queen mattress made in Oregon from natural latex with organic pillow-top. Heated cork and tile floors and tiled shower/bath. Vegan/local bath products.

The space

Velo provides a unique experience for guests by combining the hospitality of a bed and breakfast with privacy more akin to a hotel.

Both of the Velo guest rooms have spacious and modern bathrooms, and all guest spaces are separate from the hosts' living areas.

Velo features gourmet vegetarian/vegan breakfasts served by the founder and former owner of Eugene's popular Morning Glory Cafe. Breakfasts are always organic, and we offer gluten-free items for those with gluten sensitivities.

Fresh-made organic sweets are set out each evening for all to enjoy. We are always happy to cater to your dietary needs or preferences; just let us know in advance of your stay.

Limited wi-fi is available in both guest rooms, and an environmentally-friendly passive cooling system means its comfortably cool in the warmer months. Heated cork floors are delightfully warm in the cooler months.

This listing is for our West Room, which is an open-plan suite accommodating up to 4 guests. The adjoining area features a full-size and modern sleeper sofa.

Each guest beyond 2 is an additional $40 charge per night. 2 guests renting this room who wish to have separate beds will be charged an additional $25 fee which will be collected at the time of stay.

Bath amenities include locally-made and cruelty-free/vegan bath products such as Pacifica, Sappo Hill and Sacred Earth Botanicals.

Velo is a LGBT-friendly accommodation.

The room also features a "sleep sound" machine with soothing ocean, babbling brook, wind, rain and cricket settings.

Guest access

Guests staying at Velo enjoy a separate guest entrance and a guest-only living/dining room area with patio. Friends or family renting both rooms enjoy the luxury of having the whole bed and breakfast to themselves!

Interaction with guests

Your hosts live next door to the bed and breakfast and are available most times for questions and assistance. Guests should expect to see their hosts from time to time in the guest common area working to provide the cleanest possible accommodations and the best possible service. We are always happy to help with dining, recreational and sightseeing recommendations, but our default hosting style is to give our guests as much privacy as possible.

Other things to note

Velo sits on over 5 acres of sloped forestland, and features short trails throughout the property for onsite birding, hiking or running.

A friendly cow, a couple of chickens and a duck, a couple of cats a guinea pig and a small dog reside on the premises. However, B&B indoor guest areas are always 100% pet-free.

This is one of two beautiful rooms on the premises; please see "Beautiful Room in Organic B & B" for our other available room.

Velo Bed and Breakfast Policies:

Each guest beyond 2 in the West room will be an additional $40 charge per night. 2 guests renting this room who wish to have separate beds will be charged an additional $25 fee that will be collected at the time of your stay.

There is a refrigerator for guests to use, however, we are a vegetarian establishment and as such ask guests to bring only vegetarian food inside the premises.

Velo is a shoe-free space in an effort to keep the premises as clean as possible for guests at all times. The cork floor is very comfortable for bare feet, however some may prefer to bring their own slippers.

No burning of any kind for any reason is allowed inside the premises. Velo provides many LED flameless candles for guests' use in their room.

While the B and B is segregated from the main part of the house, guests should expect to see their hosts from time to time in the guest common area working to provide the cleanest possible accommodations and the best possible service.

Verizon is currently the only provider in this area for high-speed internet service, which means we have limited data access, just as one would have for a smartphone, for example.
Each room is allotted access to 250 mbs of data per day, plenty for guests to check email and surf the web. However, streaming of video or audio (ie hulu, youtube, Pandora, (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN), etc) will likely exceed this allotment. Once guests have exceeded their allotment, our system will terminate internet access to that room and will not reactivate it until next day’s check-in time. Guests may want to suspend their devices’ automatic download settings during their stay so as not to inadvertently use up their data allotment.

For entertainment, guests are welcome to watch movies from our dvd collection, and for those who do not have laptops with them, we have dvd players available for guests’ use as well. Just ask!

Well-behaved children ages 10 and over are welcome!

Guests may not sleep overnight on the guest common room couch.

We had a most amazing experience at Misha and Rob's place. They really go out of their way to make their guests felt welcome and comfortable. We arrived late to homemade blackberry cobbler and awoke to an amazing pancake breakfast. It's clear that Misha and Rob are perfectionists in what they do and it shows in their hosting. We had plenty of privacy and the uniqueness off the property was quite special. It's the little things that show the above and beyond efforts that make Misha and Rob's place an amazing place to stay!!

The food is great and the stay is very relaxing.

Misha and Rob are the consummate hosts. No detail was overlooked, our check-in/out process was uncomplicated and quite pleasant, and we truly felt welcomed into their home. We arrived with our road bikes for a long weekend of chasing pavement and wine tasting. Misha's delicious breakfasts helped to fuel our adventures and Rob's expert advice on bike routes and destinations made for a fantastic weekend, a happy balance of relaxation and exploration. We're already planning our return visit!

Misha and Rob's place is the perfect retreat. As two cyclists looking to explore the area, we couldn't have hoped for a better place to stay. "Velo" is secluded, quiet and nestled close to Eugene, but secluded enough to give you access to beautiful walks (or in our case, some stunning cycling) - there really isn't a place like it for cycling and we've been up from California to Vancouver! They are gracious and helpful hosts, and their home is beautiful. I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending their place to anybody who enjoys Oregon wildlife, great food (cooked by Misha) and wants to meet a cycling legend!

Wonderful place to relax and gear up for the rest of our Pacific Northwest adventure! Warm welcome from Misha, beautiful and clean accommodations. Breakfast was delicious! Thanks for sharing your place with us. Our trip continued to be fantastic and you all were part of it! Would definitely recommend to others and stay again, if in the area.

We just loved Misha & Rob's place. We couldn't stop saying to ourselves how wonderful it is! Misha is such an amazing chef & we just fell in love with her cooking. We were greeted with amazing raw & vegan peanut butter chocolate bars, as well as a large selection of tea. We settled into our lovely & comfortable room with some amazing dvd's to watch. We loved flipping through all the cycling & vegetarian magazines. Truly a wonderful visit! I would high recommend this place to anyone!
