Relax in lovely en suite room in organic B&B. High-end natural latex Queen mattress. Heated cork & tile floors. Guest patio in summer months where you can watch birds, chipmunks, deer & our hens frolic amongst the pear, apple, cherry & plum trees. We cater to those with dietary/environmental sensitivities. Rent both rooms and have whole B & B to yourselves--see other listing. NOTE: additional charge of $25 due upon arrival if sofa is requested as 2nd bed for one of two guests. Please inquire.

The space
Velo provides a unique experience for guests by combining the hospitality of a bed and breakfast with privacy more akin to a hotel. Especially during COVID as Velo is only accepting one party's reservation at a time. So you get the whole B and B to yourselves!

Both of the Velo guest rooms have spacious and modern bathrooms, and all guest spaces are separate from the hosts' living areas.

Velo features gourmet vegetarian/vegan breakfasts served by the founder and former owner of Eugene's popular Morning Glory Cafe. Breakfasts are always organic, and we offer gluten-free items for those with gluten sensitivities. We are always happy to cater to your dietary needs or preferences; just let us know in advance of your stay.

Limited wi-fi is available in both guest rooms, and an environmentally-friendly passive cooling system means it's comfortably cool in the warmer months. Heated cork floors are delightfully warm in the cooler months.

This listing is for our West Room, which is an open-plan suite accommodating up to 4 guests. The adjoining area features a full-size modern sleeper sofa that can be made up upon request and with the following fee: Each guest beyond 2 is an additional $40 charge per night. 2 guests renting this room who wish to have separate beds will be charged an additional $25 fee which will be collected at the time of stay.

Bath amenities include locally-made and cruelty-free/vegan bath products such as Sappo Hill and Sacred Earth Botanicals.

Velo is a LGBT-friendly accommodation.

The room also features a "sleep sound" machine with soothing ocean, babbling brook, wind, rain and cricket settings.

Guest access
Velo features a separate entrance for guests and a guest-only living/dining room area with patio. Friends or family renting both rooms enjoy the luxury of having the whole bed and breakfast to themselves!

Other things to note
Velo sits on over 7 acres of sloped forestland, and features short trails throughout the property for onsite birding, hiking or running.

A friendly cow, a chicken and a duck, a cat and a small dog reside on the premises. However, B&B indoor guest areas are always 100% pet-free.

Misha has spent most of her life in Eugene, arriving as an undergrad at the University of Oregon in 1987 and completing a JD there in 2005. Between scholarly stints, she founded Morning Glory Bakery and Cafe in 1997, a popular vegan/vegetarian restaurant in Eugene. In 2013, after practicing law for several years, Misha opened Velo Bed and Breakfast. Concurrently, she is the president of Willamette Animal Guild (WAG), Eugene's low-cost, high-volume spay/neuter and wellness clinic. Misha enjoys organic gardening, cooking, cycling, hiking, spending time with her rescued companion animals, and touring by tandem with her husband, Rob. Rob is a record-holding competitive cyclist and the owner of English Cycles, a producer of award-winning custom steel bikes. English Cycles is located onsite, offering cycling B and B guests helpful advice and use of bicycle tools. Guests are welcome to request a viewing of his shop during their stay.
