About this listing
A great building as a stand alone rental or part of the entire complex of bedroom/buildings that make up this six bedroom home! This unique building is made from the Factory Windows of the Arrow Shirt Factory in Troy New York!
This is an exotic, free standing building that is part of a complex of buildings related to a family compound in Aquinnah. Japanese in design with factory windows from the Arrow shirt factory in Troy New York! A Japanese tansue takes you up to the loft and single bed. It separates on the ground floor, the queen bed from the living area.
There is a full bath with claw foot tub, and a magnificent outdoor shower. The bus stops outside the drive way hourly. Price varies depending on the month.
This rental is perfect for a couple who have a car or are perhaps are bike riding. It is only a bedroom and living room, no kitchen. The rest of the home and buildings may be rented to people who have a large family gathering, so this building has its own patio and separate path to the parking lot. If The main building isn't occupied, you can use the refrigerator, and laundry below.
You have access to the best public beach on the island .There is a bus and this is a popular biking and hiking area.
The private beach pass goes with the large home as does the kitchen and laundry...again however, there is sharing and you can usually get onto most beaches anyway.
When we rent this building, it must be to someone who is quiet, non smoking and realizes it is mainly a bedroom/building, that gives them a base for swimming, hiking and bike riding. Priority always goes to the larger home.
No smoking. While we are friendly and eager to help you find your way around, both of us should easily find our privacy in this particular configuration.
This is not a cooking situation with so many exciting places to eat on the island, but we can store any refrigerated items for you and offer you our laundry facilities at certain times during your stay. This building would not be good for a toddler or more than one child.
The neighborhood was amazing and the directions to the property were easy to follow.
We had an absolutely magical time in the Factory Window Building. The space is completely unique and beautiful, open and full of light with all of the windows, but yet completely private. The overall property was equally as special and gorgeous, with sweeping views of the hillside and ocean. There was very easy access to the most beautiful beach in Acquinnah, where we spent much of our time.
It was also great to have access to the main house for the kitchen, and Karen was a great communicator and very accommodating host throughout the process. I would stay here again in a heartbeat, and would have loved to have spent even more time in this truly special place.
This home is in a lovely part of the island and though not easy to find, well worth it when you do. There were other renters in the main home who made us feel very welcome and we ended up having dinner with them, which was wonderful. The cottage itself is fun and funky; more in construction than furnishing but pretty much as expected. Don't miss Lambert's cove beach - a gem !
Karen is the best possible host. She is quick to communicate, curious about your life and really wants you to have the best possible time while staying at any of the gorgeous spaces she has created. Her Factory Window Building is incredible, as is the entire property. Each aspect of the house appears to have been designed and built from scratch and fits seamlessly in with the environment. If you are lucky enough to have the chance, stay here and with her!
We were absolutely delighted when we arrived. The photos are great but when you see it in person it's really amazing! The property is just incredible and the view is breathtaking. Karen was very gracious and easy to connect with. My husband and I both lived on the Vineyard 12 years ago and we had so much fun reconnecting with the land…couldn't have been in a better spot. We would LOVE to come back to another time and we plan to let others know about it! It would be the perfect spot for a large group/family to rent out!!
I can't say enough about this fabulous property. We were booked for the Factory Window Building but due to a broken water heater, were "upgraded" to the master suite. It was very comfortable with a serene vibe and artistic decor. The shared deck and kitchen area worked well; we met 2 interesting couples and enjoyed socializing. The view from the deck is amazing, with the sun setting over the water.
The reservation was canceled 5 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.

As a couple we love to travel, meet new people and explore new ideas. We would be called early adopters. We spent the first years of our married life renovating and creating spaces..love to collect architectural salvage and make it into something.
Now we are exploring innovative ways to have social impact.
While network seems a trivial term, we not only know a lot of people but love to connect them in useful ways. We have found this site an unexpected way to discover like minded people and in some cases, have become friends.
