Private and quiet bedroom and your own bathroom in beautiful four bedroom four bathroom home in downtown DC. This is not a basement unit so it is very dry and comfortable. It is also part of a big house experience, not a condo, which is a great at-home-feeling experience. Common areas are shared with guests.
The bedroom is clean with hardwood floors, a queen sized bed with egyptian cotton sheets, widescreen high definition television equipped with clear terrestrial network digital television (but not cable or DirecTV), Netflix, and new matching wood furniture. The bed is an awesome sleep. Plenty of spaces to store your things and spread out, including an armoire for hanging clothes.
The room can be as dark or as light as you desire, an optimal sleeping space. While the ambient light is ample throughout the house, and the room is very well-lighted and has a window, there is not a whole lot of natural light, so beware if you rely on natural light to wake you.
The bathroom is clean and compact with tile floors and a shower. Everything is designed for simple, solid and effective living while you stay here.
Downstairs common area is awesome with a huge great room floor-plan, large kitchen with brand new appliances. Freshen up your wardrobe with our steam setting on the washer dryer.
The location is superb: one block from Shaw Howard metro, ten minutes or less walk to Convention Center, Logan Circle, Bloomingdale, U Street corridor food, and music clubs (including the 9:30 Club) and plenty of nightlife. Dunkin Donuts is a block away, 7Eleven a couple in the other direction, one of the best thai places, chinese take out and middle eastern fare all within a block walk from the house.
** price includes single occupancy. There is a $15 extra per night for an additional person.

Be nice. Dog lovers preferred (although often they travel to the other homestead)
Please use the dishwasher, but hand-wash wood, knives and pots/pans
Each room has a useful door sign that helps everyone know who is in the house. This helps us be respectful of your quiet use of space. Kindly indicate your presence or absence by sliding the bar to "here" or "away"
Bryan was a wonderful host, he made me feel at home and was very helpful whenever I needed anything.
The room was clean and comfortable, the sheets and towels had nice cent of fresh clean laundry.
The feel in the house was very friendly, was able to work during the mornings, and relax in the evenings when I came back from the conference.
Thanks so much!!
This was my first Airbnb experience and the reason why I´m just recommending this system to everybody. Staying in this place was really great, as good and even better then advertised, fantastic location, really close to everything, the house is spacious, clean and stylish. Unfortunately, I couldn´t meet Chris, but Bryan is a fantastic guy, always ready to give some nice advices about the neighborhood, DC, talk about politics, or bake a delicious cake. I was a little to busy during my stay, so I was out most of the time, but on occasions could enjoy the company also of the other guests, all really easygoing persons. I´ll have to go back to DC many times, and, if I can, will definitely try to stay in this place again.
This was a great house to stay in for the 2 months I was in DC for my summer internship. My internship was on Capitol Hill, so the commute from the metro was quick and easy, exactly what I wanted. Chris and Bryan are great hosts, and fun to talk to. They made the house very livable and friendly, and I felt very comfortable the whole time I was there. The other tenants were nice and respectful, and it made this the perfect place to stay for my time in DC. The room is great, comfy bed and my own bathroom which was really nice. I definitely recommend staying here. The neighborhood is good, very close to the metro for getting around and right around the corner from U Street and close to Logan Circle. Grocery stores are within walking distance and I felt very safe in the neighborhood.
Great place in a brilliant location. Chris and Bryan were brilliant hosts... Helpful and fun. Thanks a lot :)
Chris’ and Bryan’s house is fabulous. Everything is neat and tidy, the furniture is classy and well-chosen, the beds are comfy and the bathrooms are clean and offer everything you need.
Their dog Lucas – only around when Chris or Bryan are in – is the nicest dog I have met in my life: very friendly to strangers and charmingly calm.
Although Chris and Bryan only stayed in occasionally during my stay, I am glad to have met them. They are awesome hosts and do everything to make you feel comfortable and at home. Not only are they nice guys but also exciting characters which makes it really fun hanging out with them. On top of that, they have the ability to choose the right people for their place and match them very well. I shared the house with two other airbnb users and the three of us were a very good match.
Their house’s location is central indeed. It’s only a 5min walk to the hip U St, offering good night live, plus they have 2 capital bikeshare stations, where you can rent a bike for very little money and take it around DC. The Dupont Circle is just a 10min bike ride away, which offers not just office buildings but also many nice restaurants – try the Bistrot Du Coin when you’re a steak enthusiast.
I highly recommend the place for the hosts’ friendliness, their great house and the proximity to central Washingto DC, NW.
I stayed in the home for four weeks as I moved to D.C to start work and look for permanent housing. The home and room are as advertised and reflect previous reviews.
House is in a dynamic neighborhood within walking distance to 14th street, Dupont, and u street night life. Steps away from the Green/Yellow line and also a quick 20 minute walk to downtown (Metro Center area).
I would highly recommend staying here.
Chris is a top-notch host and his place is exactly as advertised—hence all the spot-on positive reviews here. My week-long stay in D.C. was my first time in the city and Chris went out of his way to offer advice and help me navigate the area—but was never pushy. This is a place where you can have total privacy when you want it but Chris and other guests are around if you're feeling social. The Wi-Fi is excellent, the kitchen is kept clean, and there is the right balance of private space and common space. If you have a car, parking can be tricky but I always managed to find a spot no more than 1 block away. Public transportation is very convenient here, so if you don't need a car for other reasons, you definitely won't need one to stay at Chris' place. I give it ten stars! ☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆

I am a long time resident of DC, but travel a bit. Professionally I have been invoved with internet start ups in one way or another since the first internet bubble-bust.
I founded a pretty popular music podcast network called IndieFeed, and most recently a service called HugeFan. The first one went smashingly good, the following one just kind of smashed.
Now I am taking a new fork in the road with a new consumer product for people who have and admire beards. Like me. I developed Beardashery No. 1 beard oil, and it is sold online and in select salons like DC's Logan 14 Aveda Salon & Spa. Now I get to say things like "ask for it by name!" and "Yes I do recommend a gift for that hard-to-please bearded guy." :)
I love meeting people and connecting everyone, and this space is a part of this exciting hobby :)
So it's helpful to know who I am dealing with. It helps me to deliver on expectations and to assess a successful match. So, filling-out your profile plus information about your planned stay prioritizes your request above the others.
