Check In
  • I had a great stay in this room with a kitchenette. While I was initially hesitant about renting just a room, as opposed to an entire apartment, there was no reason to feel this way. This room had everything one could need for an extended stay, even though I was just there for two nights. It is on the third floor of a walk-up and right next to the shared bathroom. I was also concerned about this but the bathroom was left clean by the other guests staying in the brownstone and there was never a wait to get into the bathroom. There was also plentiful hot water for a shower whether early in the morning or late in the afternoon. The room itself was clean and comfortable and the hosts were very friendly without being overbearing. Check in and out were a breeze. The neighborhood is thriving; there were always people out on the street. I felt very safe coming back late at night and parking was conveniently available on the street. I would happily stay here again and recommend this room to my closest friends and family members.

  • Marlyn was a great host. She was quick to message back whenever we had a question. My mom and I stayed with her for 4 nights. Wifi worked great! Place was very close to the subway which we used the entire time. Very close to shops and food. We weren't the only guests staying there but never even saw them. Bathroom was cleaned every day and always clean. Great and affordable accommodations!

  • Marylyn and Lloyd were very nice and it was the cleanest room ever. The subway Station was just around the corner so it took only 25 minutes To midtown. I highly recommand this Place. Thanx

  • Lloyd and Marylyn were great hosts. They were very friendly and accommodating and even held my luggage after check out so I could explore the city without the burden of carrying a backpack! The apartment is very nice with plenty of space for two people. It faced the backyard so it was quiet at nice and throughout the day. The bathroom is shared (it's a house with different rooms/apartments that share a couple of bathrooms), but I had no issues using it with other guests. The house and the individual apartment were very clean, and this room had an air conditioner (which was convenient in the 80+ degree NY weather). The apartment is located near the border of Bed-Stuy and Crown Heights, so it's safe and lively, but very different from Williamsburg. Easy access to the subway and you can get to Midtown within 30 minutes or less thanks to the express trains. There are a handful of places to eat in the area, but a standout spot was Richol Bakery (a French bakery that sold delicious pastries). Check in and check out were very easy.

  • The room was a really clean and comfortable space. The bathroom was cleaned every morning. The host was friendly and available, but pretty much left us alone, which was great. I would totally stay here again.

  • I had a very nice time staying at Marylyn's place in Brooklyn. It was very close to the train into Manhattan, and a few blocks from the bus to Williamsburg. I didn't meet Marylyn in person, but George was there to let me into the place and give me the keys. He was very nice and accommodating.

  • The room was great, exactly as pictured. The bed were very comfortable, clean towels, excellent WiFi connection. Easy access to subway. Good restaurants near the house. Marylyn was very nice with me and my aunt helping with everything we needed. I highly recommend this place. Would definitely stay again next time I'm in New York.

  • We never got to see Marylyn, but we got taken care of Lloyd who were very nice to us.

The place is located very close to subway, 2-3 mins walking distance. People in the area are cool and friendly. We only stayed for 2 nights but got a great stay in Brooklyn. Once we figured out the maps and how the subway are planned it was simple to get into Manhattan. Lloyd gave us all the information we could have use for and also helped us call for a cab since we don't have american phones.

If you have short time in NYC as we had it better to stay in Manhattan, around grand central or up to central park. But if you got time and like to stay a little bit outside this is a perfect stay.
