As you can see from the pictures, it's a modern, beautiful 1-bed apartment on the first floor of an old fire-station, 1 minute walk from the Tate Modern. In the midst of all the arts and culture of the Southbank. You will not find anywhere closer to the middle of the Culture Mile than this flat!

1 Double bed, plus 1 Inflatable Mattress for a child.
Bath, shower, washing machine, dryer, oven, hobs, dishwasher, fridge, freezer. Secure entry. Wood flooring, stone bathroom. Large Fitted Wardrobe in bedroom. Entry phone.

Roxy can fit a maximum of two adults and one child - it's not very large and will get easily crowded. We recommend Roxy more for singles and couples.

We will warn you that Roxy is for those who like being in the middle of things - this isn't a quiet country lane, this is London with all its bright lights and glory. It can be busy outside but the windows are insulated. We've lived here for years but if you're used to living in the countryside then you may need earplugs!

Please note there is no allocated parking but we can get you daytime on-street parking on the street for £5 a day on weekdays, and free on weekends.

Check-in is normally 6:00pm and check-out is 10:00am, but times can be flexible. Drop me a message if the current ones don't work for you.

An Oyster card saves money on single journeys and has a price cap of around £7 for central London. The TFL website has all the info.

Get the train from Gatwick to Blackfriars station. Leave Blackfriars station on the south side of the river, and it's a 5 minute walk to our flat.

  • This flat was all we could have hoped for. It was fresh, clean all newly updated, the location vibrant. The double glass on the street side windows reduced traffic noise in the day and it was very quiet at night, even with windows opened. The location couldn't have been better. We had looked it up on (website hidden) and had some second thoughts when we saw the (website hidden) street views. But those images, as of this writing, are totally out of date. It's a great place and location. The Tate Modern is one block across the street, a market right around the corner, and a French bakery directly across the corner. The walkway along the Thames is just beyond the Tate, with the Globe Theater and Burrough Market a short walk further. The Millennium foot bridge goes across the river to St Paul's Cathedral - also a wonderful walk, especially in the evening. We could have stayed much longer just enjoying the vibrant activities so closely available. And the tube and bus lines made it very easy to get farther afield. All this couldn't have been better. Reece and Julie were totally wonderful - smart, considerate and helpful! We feel luck to have found this place and them. Many thanks for a great stay in London!

  • Reece and Julie are exceptional hosts. We started off our two-week vacation here with a five-night stay at their excellent flat. The location was perfect and less than five minutes from Tate Modern, my favorite museum. Staying in the flat was ideal to every thing. We'll definitely stay with Reece and Julie again on our return trip.

  • This flat is phenomenal. It's a great location, it's perfectly stocked with little kitchen/bathroom utensils you might need, and it's super easy to get everywhere. The hosts, Reece and Julie were also very accommodating, we arrived to a bottle of wine waiting for us (wahoo!). I would definitely book this spot again on my next trip. Thanks guys!

  • Room was great and Julie was a big help. we actually showed up 5 hours early and our hosts made accommodations to get us in with almost no notice. cant thank them enough for that.

one thing is that there is a pretty big construction project next door. It wasnt loud when we were there, but it is something to consider

  • Great apartment in a great location! You could see the Tate Modern from the window and the area is safe and lively. Close by there are theatres, restaurants, pubs, tube stations, buses, museums, concert hall, four bridges to cross to the other side and be at St Paul, Covent Garden or Piccadilly after a nice stroll -even if it rains-
Julie was a great host and the apartment had all the necessary to make a stay in London easy and confortable.
I definitely recommend Apt Roxy for any stay in London!

  • We had a wonderful time staying at Apt Roxy. Really took only 1 minute to Tate Modern. Cute little apartment with everything we needed. Umbrella, rain coverall, ear plug, wash machine (did not use but good to know it is there), dish washer, refrigerator, all cooking utensils, lots of tea choices, map, wifi, flowers, comfortable bed, good lighting, all nice and clean.

Reece and Julie were great hosts. They helped us get in and enjoy Tate Modern the best way possible; they showed us how to work the SIM card. When we found out that the underground was not going to run on our last day, Julie helped us plan our trip to the airport so we could have a smooth return home.

Even in the rainy weather, we walked all over the places because the flat was so close to the beautiful sights along the Thames River with many bridges.

    We highly recommend this flat.

  • Perfect location, cute flat, super nice guests!
Reece & Julie are very thoughtful and pre-provided all a stranger could need in London: sim cards, power adapters, wine, maps, umbrellas...

  • We really enjoyed our stay at Reece and Julie's. The apartment is well situated - it is a ridiculously close 3 minute walk to the Tate Modern. Reece and Julie kindly let us use their museum pass which, given the expense of the Tate special exhibits, was quite handy. Reece and Julie were attentive hosts. They even reimbursed the cleaning fee and brought by flowers b/c they felt the room was not up to the standards they usually provide. We certainly weren't expecting that, though we are extremely appreciative. We'd certainly enjoy staying at Reece and Julie's whenever we are next in London.

  • Reece and Julie's apartment is perfect for a stay in London. Great area, walking distance to many attractions, train/bus/tube all nearby making getting around extremely easy. The apartment is well set-up and very modern. Amazing shower/bathroom and new kitchen makes living very comfortable. Reece and Julie were very responsive and helpful. Would recomend to everyone.

Hi, we're Reece & Julie. We're Londoners and know the area really well - Reece has lived here about 15 years - and we love it. The best parts of SE1 are Borough Market, Tower Bridge, the Tate Modern, the London Eye and all the festivals and events that happen along the river Thames. It's also amazingly close to all the other good bits like Houses of Parliament, Trafalgar Square, Oxford Street and Covent Garden. If you need any recommendations, just ask!
