Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway. Our cozy cabin is nestled in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains right next to a babbling creek and picturesque pond. Relax while star-gazing from the hot tub, making s’mores around the firepit or lounging on the comfy furniture. Hike the property & surrounding areas (including nearby trailhead into Shenandoah National Park) or have fun creek walking! Idyllwood Cabin is a place where everyone can find renewal through rest & rejuvenation.

The space
Idyllwood Cabin is a cozy and comfortable home with 3 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms. The living room has new furniture that is super comfortable for lounging, reading, and watching movies. Throughout the cabin you will find beautiful and informative handmade field guide prints by Richmond artists Clara Cline (The Wild Wander) which can help identify local wildlife and constellations in the sky.

The kitchen is well-equipped with a dishwasher and brand-new air fryer. We keep the fridge and pantry stocked with basic staples and condiments for your convenience (“Take what you need and leave the rest!”)

The true highlights of this property are to be found in the many delightful outdoor spaces: patio deck directly over the creek, two firepits, brand new hot tub with luxurious jets, outdoor dining table, balconies off both of the upstairs rooms, two piers over the pond, 12 acres to explore.

Idyllwood Cabin is located less than a mile from Entry Run trailhead into Shenandoah National Park and ~10 miles (20 mins driving) to Swift Run Gap Entrance to SNP.

Guest access
Idyllwood Barn is located on our property, but it is not available to guests who only rent the cabin. NOTE: the barn/pavilion will not be rented out while you are here so you will have complete privacy here at our Idyllwood Mountain Retreat.

Guests are welcome to fish in the pond ("catch & release") and hang out on the piers. However, swimming is strictly prohibited. You are welcome to explore the creek at your own risk.

Other things to note
Idyllwood Cabin is located on a mountain road. While it is a flat dirt road, during inclement weather (snow or heavy rain), it can become muddy.

Finally, no smoking or parties are permitted.
