157 Antrim is the best looking cabin on the block, only newly renovated in 2012, the cabin is immaculate inside and insulated to keep you warm. The cabin is heated by electric heaters, two new robust heaters in the lounge and an oil column heater in each bedroom. The shower is spacious and modern and just what you need a after a long day adventuring.
****** please note *******
I also manage the property next door so if you have a large group of friends and family, 'The Classic' can host a maximum of 6 people in a double bedroom, two single bunk beds and a fold out couch :) Please enquire and I will try my best to accommodate you.
Guests will have access to all the facilities the cabin has to offer, 157 Antrim encompasses apartment style living with everything you need to be independent. Interaction with Guests
I live in Arrowtown, a 20 minute drive from the Cabin, if you need assistance, please call and I can help to my best ability. On arrival the key is accessed from a key box located onsite but I am more than happy to meet with you and show you around the place or I can simply leave you to enjoy your stay but will be on call if needed.
The area the cabin is located in, is unique to Queenstown. If you walk the streets around the area you will see many more old cabins offering some great affordable accommodation for the summer and winter seasonal influx and some are holiday homes full of character that will have many stories to tell.
Nothing is too far away!! Most forms of transport can be accessed from Queenstown's town area. Taxi services can also pick you up and drop you off from the cabin if required.
It can be just as easy to hire a car in Queenstown, there are many rental car companies, offering great deals all year round. The cabin rental comes with a car park located on the carport of the front of the property.
Other Things to Note
JUST TO NOTE..
The bunk-beds are 170cm in length, this is 20cm shorter than a regular bed! If your very tall then this might not be suitable..
Unfortunately there is currently no local Television reception (Freeview) but we have a large array of DVDs for your viewing pleasure!!
The Skyline bike park can be accessed only metres away from the cabin and is very popular in the warmer months.
Kids under 10 can ski for free at Remarkables ski field!!
A wireless hotspot has been installed in the cabin for your convenience.
No parties or loud music
No smoking inside
No ski or snowboard boots, skis, snowboards or bikes allowed inside.
From beginning to end Janey made the stay easy & comfortable. The living room view is one of the best in town with a lovely deck & chairs to enjoy coffee or a meal on.
The location is a short walk from town with hiking trails in the backyard. A very cozy, modern, & clean home with everything you need.
It's a nice cabin and suitable for a family like us, two adults and two children. It's near the lake and not far away from the centre of Queenstown.
We had a fantastic time in this little cabin in Queenstown. The views of the lake and mountains are absolutely incredible. The cabin has everything you need including a great little kitchen and DVDs, and is a 10 minute walk from the center of town.
Very cosy cabin with well-equipped kitchenette. Good view from living room of the lake. Close proximity to town centre.
Water heater needs to be reset quite often if usage is high like us (4pax)
Janey was an excellent host that was very responsive. The cabin was nice and cozy and as described. Location up on top of the hill gives a great view, and using a few of the backstreets, walking into town isn't a problem.
Checking in-out was flexible and made very easy with the instructions and communication from Janey.
Wireless is available, but must be purchased, and is not the strongest/fastest signal. There are however plenty of free Wi-Fi locations in town if needed.
Janey is an excellent host. She was very responsive to all of the messages/inquiries I had prior to our stay. I had the please to meet her as well upon my arrival to the house as she was dropping off some essentials for the place. She was very welcoming and just told us to have fun.
The best part about this place is definitely the view. Can't complain about waking up to overlooking a lake and a mountain range. The house was clean and everything that was listed was provided. The walk to town is a fairly easy walk, about 10 minutes or so. As far as the walk back, its a little tiring but manageable. She even has a collection of dvd's. Our favorite was Spirited Away, which we watched about 3 times. Great movie.
Janey's place is really cosy and a great launch pad for exploring the area. Easy walk into town, great communication and everything you could need in the cabin.

I live in Arrowtown and I am a Mother of one to Hanako :) We have lived here for over a year and half. I enjoy hosting all the different people from all parts of the world in the places I manage, it is especially satisfying when they enjoy their stay and give me really nice feedback/comments.
Before I had my daughter - I worked in Wellington in the events industry at the TSB Bank Arena, now that she is old enough I am getting back into it and working part time at the Queenstown Memorial Centre as the Venue Coordinator!
I have lived in the area of Otago since I attended school, so I have a really good knowledge on the area, and even the greater NZ.
