Interaction with Guests
I live in Arrowtown, a 20 minute drive from the Cabin, if you need assistance, please call and I can help to my best ability. On arrival the key is accessed from a key box located onsite but I am more than happy to meet with you and show you around the place or I can simply leave you to enjoy your stay but will be on call if needed.
The area the cabin is located in, is unique to Queenstown. If you walk the streets around the area you will see many more old cabins offering some great affordable accommodation for the summer and winter seasonal influx and some are holiday homes full of character that will have many stories to tell.
Nothing is too far away!! Most forms of transport can be accessed from Queenstown's town area. Taxi services can also pick you up and drop you off from the cabin if required.
It can be just as easy to hire a car in Queenstown, there are many rental car companies, offering great deals all year round. The cabin rental comes with a car park located on the carport of the front of the property.

The bunk-beds are 170cm in length, this is 20cm shorter than a regular bed! If your very tall then this might not be suitable..

The Skyline bike park can be accessed only metres away from the cabin and is very popular in the warmer months.

A wireless hotspot has been installed in the cabin for your convenience. You will need to top this up with data to use it in most cases.

The views were truly breathtaking and the cottage itself was so cute and cozy. Janey left the place in immaculate condition and provided excellent directions for us both in the house and around town. The Internet that was available was very slow and often disconnected so I would definitely bring my own next time (but I've noticed that is a common issue in NZ). Overall, an outstanding stay! Thank you, Janey :)
We booked Janey's apartment for 3 nights for our honeymoon. House was clean & tidy, and cute, with an awesome view. House was a little small for us, as we were after something more spacious, to enjoy honeymoon. Janey allowed us to cancel two nights which was deeply appreciated. Thank you so much Janey for being understanding. Nothing wrong with the house. House is cute, clean, tidy, central to town centre, and has an amazing unobstructed view of the mountains and the lake.
Would highly recommend. Great location with great views. The house had everything we required and was a very short walk into town which made life easy. The only thing that would have made our experience a little better is a functional BBQ. Janey assured me she was looking in to fixing this as we left.
This house in Queenstown has a phenomenal view of Lake Wakatipu and the Remarkables. The location is a quick 10 minute walk to the center of town (and 15 minutes from the main bus stop), although it is slightly uphill back to the cabin.
The home is small, but very comfortable. My wife and I slept really well in the master bedroom. We used the grill on the porch almost every night which was a nice treat for us. Although we didn't have a car, there did appear to be ample parking.
The only downside to this home is that the internet connectivity is not fast or consistent. Otherwise, I would recommend this home to any couple or small family.
Great home and great views!
Good place not far from central Queenstown. Probably best for no more than 3-4 people. Wifi doesn't really work well but otherwise was good for a place to explore the area from!
Janey was a great host. The wifi connections were not available, so Janey brought us her own wifi hotspot to use, which was great. I suggested to her that Internet be removed from the amenities list, since the user has to pay additional for its usage. Besides internet issues, the cabin is very cozy and has a great view. It is a short walk to the centre, and a nice one (all downhill there and a big uphill back :) ) A nice place to stay overall!

About the Host, Janey
I live in Arrowtown and I am a Mother of one to Hanako :) We have lived here for over a year and half. I enjoy hosting all the different people from all parts of the world in the places I manage, it is especially satisfying when they enjoy their stay and give me really nice feedback/comments.
Before I had my daughter - I worked in Wellington in the events industry at the TSB Bank Arena, now that she is old enough I am getting back into it and working on a variety of events in Queenstown - just ask me whats going on when your staying, I will know some great events to attend!
I have lived in the area of Otago since I attended school, so I have a really good knowledge on the area, and even the greater NZ.
