Venture out to hike, bike, play disc golf or ski the endless trails, enjoy the warmth of a diner by the firepit and breathe the fresh air of the Boreal forest as you cozy up in your private tent.

The space

Remote and off-grid site, the Alpine Escape Glamping area is located at Mount Sima, 15 minutes from Whitehorse. On the shoulder of a ski run, it is surrounded by endless wilderness, overlooking a beautiful valley. You must walk up a 1km trail with 120m elevation, approximately 15 minutes from the parking lot to the campsite.

Aspen is a wall tent nestled into the Boreal Forest that can accommodate up to 2 people. It is equipped with a full-size bed and a propane heater inside, and 2 chairs and a propane firepit on the deck.
IMPORTANT: There is no power outlet nor running water at the tent.

Kitchen, firepit, shower, outhouse (toilets), and 12V power outlets are a few meters away, and shared with the other guests.

Kitchen: Bearproof food storage, cook stoves and propane, kitchen pots, utensils and cutlery, basic condiments, coffee and tea.
Shower: Hot water with propane, locally made soap, shampoo and conditioner, towels.
Firepit: firewood, metal spikes, chairs, bearproof garbage cans.

Water is delivered to the site and levels are monitored regularly. We ask guests to be conservative with their water usage.

Free Wi-Fi is located at the base, not the campsite. The area has full cell service.

We have 2 private lakes on the property with access via hiking trails. The first lake is approximately 10 minutes walk and the second lake is approximately 25 minutes walk. There are canoes & lifejackets for rent.
IMPORTANT: the lakes are not under supervision.

If you need to request transportation via Side by side recreational vehicle to/from the campsite a fee of $10 will be charged.
This fee is waived for guests with a disability.
Guests must be prepared to wear a helmet in the recreational vehicle.
Recreational vehicle transportation must be requested at least 24 hours in advance. This is subject to availability and the request is not guaranteed.

I have had many different careers but the one I found here at MT. Sima has been the most fulfilling I could have ever asked for. I love the community and the people I work with and the work we do for the people of the Yukon!
