Spacious suite, private entrance

House - Private room · Wildwood Drive, Burlington, VT 05408, United States

The Space

Our house is near Lake Champlain. It's a basement suite with its own entrance, so you can be assured of privacy. The suite can sleep five-- there are two twin beds in one bedroom, a double bed in the second bedroom, and there is a pull-out couch in the living room or another one. The bedrooms have big windows and are quite sunny. The suite also has a large living room, a full bathroom, and a kitchen with microwave (but no stove). We're equipped with cable t.v. and Wi-Fi internet.

We are located 3 miles from downtown Burlington and 4 miles from the Univ. of Vermont. We're a 10-minute walk from Leddy Park and the North Avenue bus line (buses run every 30 minutes in the morning and afternoon and every 45 minutes other times). We are about a 20 minute walk from North Beach, and 5 minutes from the Burlington bike path, which runs along the lakeshore. We have bikes you can borrow, if you like. My husband and I both work days, full time, so we would like you to check in after 4:30 p.m., if possible. If this is not possible give us a call and we'll figure something out. Small dogs are okay-- I love animals.

There will be an extra charge of $20 per person per night if there are more than two people in your group (not counting babies).

The Burlington bike path is beautiful, the lake and mountains will give you wonderful memories. It's a 20 minute bike ride from my house to Church Street and the waterfront at the foot of Main Street and you can explore downtown Burlington, enjoy good food and lots of activities.

  • We really enjoyed our 3-night stay in this private basement apartment. Shouyan and her husband were kind and accommodating, and the space was large and clean. Quick drive to downtown Burlington and Winooski. Would stay again... nice quiet neighborhood right near the bike path, lovely hosts. Thank you!

  • Shouyan and her husband are exceptionally nice and accommodating!

Their basement apartment was exactly as described. The location isn't particularly convenient to downtown Burlington, but if you have a car it's only a 10 minute drive. The house is very close to the bike trail that runs along Lake Champlain, which is great for running, walking, and cycling.

Thanks for a lovely, comfortable stay!

  • Our staying at Shouyan's place was perfect. It is a cozy basement, with much space and everything you need, 10 min by car from Burlington downtown.
Shouyan was super nice and welcoming. I totally recommend it.

  • The basement apartment was very comfortable and had everything we needed as a weekend home-base. The road was very quite and cheap to get a cab to from town. The beds were comfortable, the apartment very warm, and the shower pressure amazing. Shouyan greeted us when we got there to check in and was very nice. It was great to have a driveway to park our car in!

  • We had a very nice time in Burlington! It was a family reunion and the apartment was really comfortable and spacious. We appreciated the fact that we were able to access the apartment really early in the morning (5am!) . Our hosts were wonderfull!

  • My girlfriend and I stayed on New Years Day to visit Burlington. Great spot to stay the night and works well with a car.

The downstairs is spacious and comfortable with a couch and tv, well heated, and the bed is good.

Shouyan met us when we arrived and was very polite and told us about the area and her experiences living nearby. The waterfront sounds great during the summer (we were there in winter).

The downstairs is easy to get to from outside via the garage, and we were given a key to use. It made coming/going very easy.

When we left we sent her a message and everything worked just fine.

  • This place is awesome! Spacious, clean, and well-equipped. It exceeded my cousin's and my expectations! 10/10 would stay again. Hopefully the next time we visit Burlington it will be a bit warmer and the snow won't cut our trip short. Thanks to all!

  • Easy stay in Burlington: Met at the house by her teen child, let downstairs and settled in. Spacious main room, functional bathroom, clean, roomy and equipped with the essentials (diningware, microwave, toaster oven, fridge). Great shower pressure. Locking exterior door. Heat worked great. So nice to have somewhere to leave the dog.

Really close to the bike/walking path and very close to the lake. Nice neighborhood for walking the dog. Easy easy drive to downtown.
