This is a quintessential New England neighborhood. Traditional style homes on tree lined streets. We have an Apple Harvest Festival annually every October during the apple harvest season. The festival is a town-wide event lasting three days that includes various rides and attractions, including booths from many of the local town businesses and politicians. Other events include the Under a Strawberry Moon Festival in June and various events held by the local town historical society.
Beautiful suburban neighborhood near Rt. 2, 83 & Rt. 94; I-84 east/west; I-91 North and South. There is a large variety of restaurants and shops in downtown Glastonbury. You MUST have car as closest bus stop is miles away and schedule is infrequent. Easy commute, however, to local universities, colleges and large corporations.
This is a great place to stay while looking for an apartment or home or home base for sightseeing in New England. Boston is 2 hours away; Mystic and shorelines are within an hour; Hartford’s downtown is 15 minutes.
There is no public transportation available. You will need a car to get around.

The experience of staying at their house is extremely makes me happy and relaxed. The bathroom is pretty clean and the atmosphere of the bed room is pretty sweat.
Ted is very friendly and nice. He gives us a ride for free to the UConn. Nice trip.
Queenie was a wonderful host. She was welcoming and kind, and when we got there she showed us around the house and then gave us a great dinner recommendation.
My boyfriend and I stayed with Queenie and Ted this past weekend and our stay was nothing short of lovely, convenient and welcoming. They provided great hospitality along with all the essentials plus some extras such as breakfast and a personalized key-less entry. Experiences like this are one of the reasons I love Airbnb. Their dogs are loving and adorable and both Queenie and Ted are friendly, funny and interesting. We had a very nice chat over breakfast. Our room was large and well appointed. There was nothing more we needed. I highly recommend this listing to anyone traveling through the area.
This was my first booking using Airbnb and I could not be happier. Plenty of space, a super comfy bed and my own bathroom right across the hall made this fantastic value for money. Queenie is a great host who goes the extra mile to make sure you feel at home. I would recommend her to anybody.
We enjoyed our stay at Queenie's. The bedroom and bathroom were spacious and clean. Queenie and her husband were respectful of our privacy but open to conversation if we were interested (we were) and helpful about providing information on local restaurants and stores. Also, Queenie includes breakfast which is a nice extra. We would definitely stay with Queenie again.
Queenie and her husband are friendly people. The room is very quiet at night. You have your own bathroom and Queenie is prepared with items in case you forgot anything. The house backs up against the woods at the end of a road so no traffic noise. The bed is comfortable. The room has a microwave and a small refrigerator. It is a nice, well kept up home in a safe neighborhood. I would recommend if you are in the area.
Great hostess and host. Very enjoyable stay. Room and bathroom nice, clean, comfortable, and private. Beautiful home in a great location. Had a couple nice conversations downstairs, privacy upstairs. Also provided a great, light breakfast.

Two - my kids; they make me proud every day of the adults that they have become. Three - my family; all gadzillion of them! Nothing like have intimate meals for 25! Four-my friends. Specifically the girlfriends that know all my secrets and are thereby sworn to be friends forever! Five - Chocolate! Didn't you know it was gonna make the list?
