This cozy room is available in my Bushwick, Brooklyn apartment. The neighborhood is very artistic, youthful, and lively. We are walking distance to tons of bars, cafes, and restaurants as well as a short train ride into Williamsburg and Manhattan.
This bedroom has a full sized bed and it's own private half bathroom on the lower level of the apartment. The apartment is a large two floor space shared with three other bedrooms - one being my own and the other two also rented on airbnb. You can expect to meet interesting people from all over the world and also have plenty of privacy in our large apartment.
Guests are welcome to make use of the well equipped kitchen with complimentary coffee and tea, living area, plus provided essentials including shampoo, conditioner, soap, a hairdryer and iron.
The neighborhood we are in is Bushwick, Brooklyn. It is very artistic, youthful, and lively. We are walking distance to tons of bars, cafes, and restaurants as well as a short train ride into Williamsburg and Manhattan - I'll let you know all of my favorite spots : )
You'll be a 5 minute walk to either the M train (knickerbocker stop) or the L train (dekalb stop). The L train is super convenient to go straight into downtown manhattan in 20 minutes and transfer to almost any of the other subway lines to get you around the city!

Leigh Ann was a great host. Her instructions were very clear and she was very easy to get in contact with if I needed. The room I stayed in was clean and tidy. I would definitely recommend staying with her.
It was a pleasure to be hosted at Leigh Ann's flat during 5 nights. The flat is very nice and clean, the room was fine and the location is good. The host was really discret and was open to answer our questions. She also gave us some useful informations before our trip to NYC. The only bad point was that the wifi wasn't working during some days, so we had to find other solutions to organize our days.
Leigh Ann was very informative and easy to reach at each step during the booking and check-in process.
The room I stayed in (the full) was larger than I expected. It had its own office/ study area adjoining the bedroom (the two rooms were separated by floor-to-ceiling curtains) as well as a convenient half bath in the suite. The setup was very tasteful and homey and, since it was in the basement and had a lot of privacy, felt like having a private apartment. The cityscape wasn't bad, either.
Bushwick, a Brooklyn neighborhood, was an authentic take on New York, not overly bland, sterile, or commercial. It seems to be undergoing gentrification, which brings an interesting dynamic. For those wanting to explore, what I think is really important is proximity to transportation, and The Stanhope is convenient to two train lines (M and L) for easy access to other areas of the city.
The reservation was canceled 101 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
We had a lovely stay here. The room was comfortable, and the apartment is well-furnished. The metro, convenience stores, and interesting eateries are all a short walk away from the location. Leigh Ann was friendly and easy to communicate with.
The room is exactly as pictured. Neighborhood and localization are great. Leigh Ann was very helpful. We recommend.
A fantastic first time airbnb experience for my husband and I! Leigh Ann was a very open & welcoming host who provided clear communication, info, help & tips before and during our stay - thoughtful too as we were welcomed late at night to a room that was lit up & heated. Leigh Ann has everything labled throughout her home making it easy to feel at ease during your stay. It was great to also meet other fellow travellers along the way who stayed in the other rooms.
We stayed for 14 nights in the full bedroom downstairs with the half bathroom and it was beyond our expectations. The room was bigger than we expected and was decorated with such an artfully homey feel. It was convenient having access to our own private toilet, although we had no issues with the shared bathroom upstairs anyway. Everything was clean & upstairs was beautiful decorated.
Location was great with convenient short walk (approx. 10mins) access to 2 subway stations (L & M trains) meaning there was always a train to get home no matter what time or day it was. Either trains were approximately 20-30mins into Manhattan, the time always flew by for us & it did not feel like a long commute at all. It is also a short walk to a few 24/7 eateries, which we were grateful for as we checked in at about midnight. We did not feel unsafe at all at any point in the neighborhood & loved the community vibe, especially during the day on weekends.
Just a small tip/info - the key we had used stuck a little in the front entrance so just give it a jiggle and it will unlock. Also, just be mindful that the stairs at first glance looks steep, which may only be an issue for someone who may struggle to get their luggage down the stairs.
Overall, a highly recommended place to stay! You won't be disappointed.
