Lionel is the best! So friendly and helpful- he pointed out great places to go and was really flexible about timings and meeting us. I would recommend him to anyone and would definitely go back.
The flat was perfect and really charming and perfect for a week stay or even longer.
Lionel was lovely and easy to communicate with - he came to meet us early which was very kind of him. The apartment was great, clean, tidy, very Parisienne! The only problem was that we could hear the neighbours TV through the wall but they turned it off quite early.
Our stay in Paris was great. Lionel is always available to give us some advice and tips on the area. The flat is great (clean, in conformity with the description, etc) and really well located (literally 1 min walk from subway). There is everything you need in the neighborhood. I hope I'll be able to go there again for my next trip in Paris.
We had a great trip to Paris and Lionel was a fantastic host!
It was all great!
Lionel is a very helpful guy and at all times has answered our questions and helped us in all that was possible!
The accommodation is perfect! Located in one of the trendiest and active areas of Paris, surrounded by restaurants, supermarkets, pubs .... All that you would need is around you!
The apartment is fully equipped with everything you might need. It is very cozy and nice.
It has heating and wifi that work perfectly.
Addition is in the 4th floor and is accessed through a courtyard, which is very quiet.
Overall we love it and will definitely repeat on future occasions!
Lionel was an excellent host who spoke very good English. He came to meet us when we arrived at the apartment and was available to answer questions and recommend restaurants/bars. His apartment is very clean, comfortable, if a little small (in particular, the bathroom, but this seems to be a pattern in Paris). The location is wonderful — right in the center of the Marais and a block from the subway and within walking distance of almost everything you'll probably want to see in Paris. Overall a great stay. Thanks Lionel!
Lionel was a very good, helpful and gentle host. He communicated very correctly and always answered our mails and text messages within some hours. He gave us the needed information about the studio and gave us good advice about local places where we could eat. Thanks to him we got a little insight in daily life in Paris what gives this stay even a more authentic feeling.
Lionel speaks fluently English and even Dutch with a real Dutch accent!
His studio is as in the pictures, a rather small but cozy place with everything you need for a short or mid-long stay. The studio was very clean at our arrival. The studio is well accommodated (hoover, magnetron, laundry machine). There was even an nespresso machine and a hair dryer available.
Even though the studio is very close to the buzy Rue de Rivoli and the lively Le Marais area it was very silent and ideally to get a good rest after a whole day discovering the city!
The studio is ideally situated!!! You can easily access the metro (less then 1 minute of walking from the studio is the Saint-Paul station) and get in 10 minutes to Place de la Concorde. We could easily and quickly get to all the important musea. Le Marais is a lovely neighbourhood to stay. All the nice restaurants, bars, tearooms, shops, the young people and nice architecture make it a agreeable place that invites you to discover it as well during the day as at night. In this neighbourhood you don't have the feeling to stay in the hectic throbbing heart of Paris.
In short, a great host and ideally situated location! We certainly would recommend our friends to stay here.
These 2 things are good to know:
1. The studio is under the roof, 4 or 5 up high and has no elevator. So not recommended for older persons or persons with a physical problem but certainly recommended for the romantic souls who would like to re-experience a little bit that stereotypical idea of 'La bohème'.
2. Perfectly in accordance with the 'La Bohème' experience: the bathroom is rather tiny, small and the accommodation in the bathroom is basic. Everything functions well but the shower and the positioning of the toilet are certainly not practical for tall or rather large persons!
Lionel was very nice owner! I didn't have any problem in communication.
And he was even kind!
Everything was great. Location, cleanliness, price..
But the best thing of this was location!
It just 1~2 minutes from Saint-Paul station.
(I think 30 seconds by running)
And BHV department store is just 5 minutes walking away from the apartment!
It even has a big market under the apartment.
Nothing will be better than this!
Just one thing that you have to know is there are no elevator.
The stairs were high and steep.
But it is just one thing you have to pay to get this wonderful house-
That doesn't matter for young guys. (but a little problem to our grandparents)
It's really good place to stay. I highly recommend his apartment. :)
My girlfriend and I stayed for 2 weeks at Lionel’s apartment during December 2013, and our trip to Paris couldn’t be more perfect!
The apartment has a good space for 2 people, it’s very clean, cozy, warm (heater works really well), got everything you need to wash and dry clothes, bed is comfortable, the kitchen works perfectly and even though my girlfriend was concerned at first with the bathroom looking a bit small, it proved not to be a problem at all, working well for both of us.
The apartment has an EXCELLENT location, close to a metro station and in walking distance to markets, bars, really good restaurants, many museums, parks and other beautiful locations (Louvre, Carnavalet, Centre Pompidou, Place des Vosges, Place de la Bastille, Notre-Dame and others). The neighborhood is also great: really calm, safe and beautiful, also full of exquisite and unusual local business and locations worthy of exploring.
Lionel is a great host! He arrived exactly at the time booked for our check in at the apartment (even helped us with our luggage), clearly explained all we needed to know about the apartment (he speaks English perfectly) and gave us useful tips about the neighborhood. Communication between us also worked perfectly fine, he was always quick to reply our messages. We definitely recommend his apartment to anyone who’s looking for an amazing and memorable stay in Paris!
