This beautiful apartment is located in Ploče area only 10 minutes of walking distance to the Old Town, and it can accommodate 2 people. The apartment consists of one bedroom with king size bed kitchenett and bathroom. From the apartment you can enjoy fantastic view of the Old town, city walls, island of Lokrum and the sea horizon. At the balcony, there is terrace furniture which makes it a perfect place to enjoy beautiful sunsets. The biggest beach Banje is located within 5 minutes of walking distance to the apartment. Completely separate entrance and intimate atmosphere will provide you absolute privacy and serenity in this enchanting apartment.
Wireless interent can be slow sometimes so if you are working proffesionaly and are dependent of interent connection that might be a problem for you.
Great little apartment in Ploče - we stayed there for 3 nights and I'm really glad we chose to stay in that area. The views from up on the hill are beautiful and this apartment is right next to the cable car stop. I would have given this place five stars if there was a good wifi connection in the room and if the bathroom floor didn't get so wet.
No problems at all, I wish we could have stayed in Dubrovnik longer than 3 nights.
There are 319 steps from the centre of Dubrovnik’s widest street, Placa Ulica, through the Buža gate, up the hillside to the apartment and they are all worthwhile. One section of stairs passes directly next to a fantastic and inexpensive brick-oven pizzeria. I’d suggest dinner here if you want to break up that six minute climb. The window-wall of the room looks out on the Adriatic, Lokrum, the city walls and harbor of Old Town Dubrovnik. The description of the room was pleasantly accurate, the reviews were also correct; the bathroom floor gets a bit wet. While we never met Kristina, Sinisa dropped in to check on us. The care-taker, Jelka, looks after the property and speaks far more French than English and made the experience very pleasant. I would absolutely return.
This apartment is in a great location just above Old Town. We never got to meet Kristina or Sinisa, but they were responsive over e-mail and their housekeeper, Jelka, was kind and helpful during our stay.
The apartment itself is very small and basic. As others have noted, the WiFi doesn't work inside the apartment, but we were usually able to get a connection in the courtyard. Occasionally, we would have to go down to the main road to get a connection. The views out of the giant windows were beautiful, which helped make the apartment feel a little bit bigger. We stayed there for five nights, and while the apartment provides a great value and location, I would recommend it for 3-4 nights maximum because it is REALLY small. We travel light, but If you are traveling with a lot of luggage, you might want to look elsewhere.
We did do a couple of fantastic day trips from Dubrovnik that I would recommend. We hired a driver to take us into Mostar, Bosnia, which was beautiful and has great history. Also, we went on a fabulous catamaran tour with Tom's Tours. There is a nice beach club close-by called East West, where you can rent beach chairs for the day. Highly recommended!
This apartment is a cozy place, clean with a great view of the old town and Lokrum Island. It has a full bathroom, compact kitchen with a fridge, and a Queen size bed facing the bottom to top window where you can see the great view!
The shower had a bit of a plumbing issue but not a huge problem just slow drainage. You cannot get wifi reception in the room, unless you walk a flight of stairs down to Mrs. Kerber house which is the same complex. We would just check our emails before settling in the room.
The most important thing to take into consideration is the many stairs you have to walk to get the apartment. It was a good exercise for us but may be tough for older folks. Then again it is worth the walk because the view is amazing!
This is a small but very compact apartment with a helpful host, Jelka. We were really gratetful for the air con as it was very hot when we were there. Probably the hardest thing about the location is the very steep climb up from the beach and the old town. On some days we were doing this climb up to three times a day and to be honest ,it was a bit of a killer. We didn't manage to get wifi connection whilst we were there, which was unfortunate. We absolutely loved our visits to Lockrum and ended up going 4 times. It's such a haven!
Ivo2 is one a small cottage on a nice property with a lovely garden maintained by Jelka, the owner. The place is roomy and clean with a great view of the water and Lokrum island. Only one small warning for asthmatics- the hill is steep and there are a fair amount of steps to the property. But, worth it for the view.
This room (Ivo2) was very clean and in a pretty location. It was around a 5 minute walk to the eastern gate to the old town. Note that it is a walk down stairs, so to return to the room you must walk up many stairs.
This is not an apartment- it is a fairly small room with a fridge and sink and bathroom.
I would stay here again, if i couldn't find a place closer to the old town.
Also, Sinisa drove us from the airport (for a fee), and was very pleasant. He said he would contact us during our stay to provide information about island tours his tour company offers, but we never heard from him.
