Patty & Jack were great hosts! They were accommodating as our check in time fluctuated and were there for everything we needed. They're great people with big hearts. La Casita is perfectly located in Iguana just steps from the ocean, great surf breaks, not to mention lovely amenities for you to relax and enjoy your time. Additionally, we rented a motorcycle from Canicula Adventures (Patrick) and checked out other local beaches just outside of Iguana and La Casita was the perfect home base. Very happy with our stay and we will be back.

This was my second stay at the see shack! That says a lot because I rarely stay at the same location but Jack and Patty are such great host and the location is perfect. If you are a couple or friends traveling in the area and would like to stay in Hacienda Iguana I highly recommend staying at the See shack!

We really enjoyed our time in the See Shack casita. Jack and Patty are great hosts. They are friendly, helpful and went out of their way to make sure we enjoyed our stay. The location is great. The house is on a beachfront lot almost directly in front of Panga Drops and Colorados is a 10 minute walk down the beach. We came to surf and were not disappointed. The landscaping and lush tropical gardens on the property are gorgeous. The pool is private and the casita has its own palapa with a hammock to relax in. The casita is small but fine for 2 people and comes with everything you need. There were also two bikes for our use which were great for riding to the restaurants and stores.

Villas Iguana is a guarded beach/golf community of well-to-do expatriates. The whole property is beautiful and well kept, the swimming pool is intricate. The beach is wide and long, waves of pro surfing quality. Our host Joe is a surfer himself, has a nice stock of surfing equipment, let us use one of the body-boards, thanks, Joe. The community is insulated from the rest of the country. All bars, restaurants, shops feature prices in U.S. $ and not much cheaper then in the U.S. So, if you have a limited budget, do your grocery shopping before getting there.

My boyfriend and I booked to stay for 4 nights. As soon as we arrived we extended our stay. Jack and Patty are lovely people and such a pleasure to stay with. The place has everything you need. Two bikes too get around. Restaurants close by and uncrowded surf right out the front. I'd love to come back and would highly recommend anyone to stay here.

Patty User ProfilePatty is a superhost.

I was born in San Diego, moved to Idaho in 1972, to work at Redfish Lake Lodge, with my husband, Jack. We sold the Lodge in 2000 and built our beach front home in Nicaragua in 2005.

I love walking the beach with my dog, Teo, yoga, making jewelry and quilting. We've traveled to Bali, Portugal, Brazil and Venezuela.
