Picturesque views of the Ocean (on clear days) to the West.

Two acres of land (many rentals only have a tiny dirt lot.

Gated community, so it is very safe, private and quiet.

A large bathtub for your soaking pleasure after a long hike!

Trails are nearby, and there is fantastic fishing at Lake Cuyamaca. Julian's restaurants and shopping are 9 miles away.

The pet fee is $75 per pet per stay.

Length of Stay:
We gladly welcome longer stays. Please feel free to send an inquiry!

The driveway is a little tricky to navigate. It is best to drive past an entrance, make a U-turn at the next street, and then go up the driveway. This makes it easy.

We have a home theatre system with YouTube TV, and Amazon Prime downstairs for your entertainment fun. You can use your own Netflix or other media account on our tv's if needed.

The elevation is the highest in Julian! At nearly 5,000 feet, it can receive snow when other areas of Julian don’t. Sometimes, we only get snow as a result. On very special days, you can reach out and touch the clouds and hills. This is why we call it "A living canvas”

If the number of guests exceeds the number of available beds, there are three large couches and a full-size mattress in the closet.

We also provide hot drinks, such as cocoa, tea, and coffee. In the living room chest, as well as downstairs, there are many board games.

NOTE.... We only allow non-smokers; my wife is allergic to cigarettes, so if you smoke at all, this is not the place for you. A $150 additional cleaning fee will be charged if guests smoke anywhere on the property. This is a very high-risk fire area, and we take no chances.

If you are in a wheelchair, this house is not ADA-compliant; however, it may still be accessible in some cases. My wife is in a wheelchair, so we made it work for her. Please ask before you book to see if it will work for your situation.

Central heat and A/C throughout. Both floors are well-heated.

There is also a Charcoal BBQ available for your use. Charcoal is not included. Bonfires are not permitted; however, a propane fire pit is available under the gazebo.

We do not permit the house to be used for any parties or events unless approved explicitly before booking. If there is excessive noise, you will be asked to leave immediately, and no refund will be given. We work hard to keep good relations with our neighbours and meet guest expectations.

We work diligently to ensure your stay is the best possible. The house is professionally cleaned and maintained. It is beautiful, and the views are just stunning. We know you will agree!

Guest access
We will let you know about access 2 to 3 days before check-in by email.
If you are in a wheelchair, it is NOT ADA but will work. Just ask first.

There is no access to the garage to park. Tell every guest that parking is tricky since you have to drive past the driveway to the first street and make a u-turn to get into the driveway.
The road to the cabin can be windy and steep with bad weather. Not advisable in the snow without a 4x4, chains or snow tires in winter.

Other things to note
Garage not included

We are a Christian family, so some things around the house will reflect this.

If you like to fish, Cuyamaca Lake is a great place to do so. The food at the lake restaurant is also very good!

You can watch our DVDs or bring your own, as well as music for the stereo, if you want to watch movies or listen to music.

During the winter, pipes can freeze, so you will need to turn off the house water before bed and turn it back on in the morning.
You will need to monitor the weather report for the days of freezing weather (below 32°F).
We do not give refunds for snow issues. You can always get to the house, but in the worst case, you have to park at the bottom of the hill on Engineer Road and walk up or wait for the snowplow, which comes 2x a day.

Pls note spa hours. We do our best to ensure the spa is ready for each guest, and we have never had an issue. However, if the spa is unusable, we will not consider any financial implications. Sometimes, there are quick turns, and a guest might get the spa dirty or cloudy. We may not have enough time to clean, so that the water may be hazy, but we always do our best to have it ready...

We have a Tesla battery backup in case of any outages.

If you have more people than the number you reserved, you will be billed $30 per guest per night for the extra individuals.

Late check-out fee without approval is $20 for every 10 minutes that you check out late.

Pets are not allowed on furniture or beds (Bring covers for furniture if needed), or an additional $100 minimum cleaning fee will apply if we have to do extra cleaning. The pet fee is $75 per pet per stay

My work: Julian Cabins
Fun fact: I started going bald at 35!
We just love Julian & have many cabins for rent in the area. Julian Cabins are the best way to get away from it all. Airbnb is a great way to rent Cabins in Julian & also allows us to enjoy them too! I hope you will visit Lake Cuyamaca & Julian soon. We invite you to be our guest & stay at one of our vacation rentals. You will be glad that you did. Julian Cabins has been around since 2010 and quickly joined Airbnb which started in 2008.
