By the state of the apartment we could guess that the host probably hadn't been there since the last guest left it behind. It was dusty, there were tons of things falling out of the carpet when we shook it, there was hair in the bathroom sink, and a few dozens of q-tips spilled next to the washing mashine. The Bedsheets also smelled weird. We didn't find the key where it was supposed to be either, another hint to the host not checking in after the last guest. The neighborhood is nice, a bit far from Tokyo but it did the job for us since it was close to Makuhari Messe. It's a shame, the apartment could be really nice if a bit more effort was put into keeping it clean.

It was nice stay here. Cheap and clean, ...only thing is a bit far away from the center of Tokyo, but maybe that is why price is so cheap. I cannot complain at all...All are OK.

Paul has been very responsive and helpful. I had an issue with some mail that was to be mailed to Japan and he help me tirelessly. The location though slightly far from the city centre, was perfect for our transit to Makuhari Messe where we attended an event. It had all the essentials in the house, and we had convenience stores nearby that are opened at any time. The only complain we have is that the house is slightly dusty and i got bitten by some bug. My brother and I are both more sensitive to dust, so this may not trouble others. Very cute apartment and felt like a Japanese living in the suburb for 3 nights. Would recommend to others.

Paul's place is as pictured. It is in a very quiet part of Chiba prefecture. It takes about 35-40 minutes to get to major stations via the JR Chuo line at Tsudanuma. It was my first time ever using AirBnB and I do not regret it one bit. I wish I could have stayed longer though. Even though I didn't get to meet Paul himself, he emailed me and sent me messages asking how everything was going. All in all, for my third trip to Tokyo it couldn't have been any better.

Apartment was clean and nice. Just the location is quite far from many attractions in Tokyo. It took more than hour to reach Shinjuku Station.

It is just 4 mins walk to Yakuendai Station which requires transit if you are touring Tokyo main city. The amenities around the area is good - many food options, drugstore, small supermarket. The apartment was small but functional. No lift so take stairs. Water heater, toilet, TV and washing machine is usable. My concern is regarding the cleanliness of the apartment - stains on curtains, sticky marks on wallpaper, futon sheets had weird odor and rashes developed after sleeping on them, and aircon was very dusty that we felt uncomfortable sleeping at night. I hope the host can consider replacing new futons, curtains and improving cleanliness of the apartment and I'm sure it will be a great place to stay. The host has a few rooms available in the same property so you can check which suits your requirements. More suitable for singles or young couple. Communication with host was a breeze as he communicates clearly in English.

Response from Paul:
I am sorry you had these issues. I wish you had contacted me as we could have come to the apartment and sorted out those issues for you. I am very surprised about the rashes. We have had no other such issues in the past. The curtains will be washed this week and the air con unit will be cleaned. Thanks.
