Private second-floor suite with private bath and Jacuzzi tub. We have dedicated the house to Airbnb guests. We have a dog with character, called The Professor who will want to meet you and chat about politics but not very cuddly.
Awesome double-occupancy suite with private jacuzzi tub, queen-size bed and access to the rest of this lovely residence in Capitol Hill.
In a very laidback, lifestyle-friendly, landlord-occupied house-to-share, you'll enjoy relaxing with a glass of wine on the main floor and light conversation--or a game of tug-o-war with our dog, Chuck E--or you can quietly relax on the back patio and then escape to the total privacy of your room.
The main floor is awesome and includes a baby grand piano, surround sound seating, and plenty of nooks to sit and read or do computer work. You can also use the nicely appointed kitchen or hang out downstairs in our cozy new Pub.
Location: Capitol Hill NE, one block from major DC Metro Bus lines and about nine blocks from each of two major DC Metro Rail Stations (Union Station and Eastern Market). Both bus lines have stops at either Metro Station and cab fare is not that bad to anywhere in the city. Stroll to the US Capitol diagonally down Maryland Ave (less than 1 mile) or meander to observe the unique architecture and the gardens of homes on Capitol Hill.
Venture out to the hot new H Street Atlas District for DC's most up-and-coming eclectic neighborhood, which is only two blocks away but insolated from the bustle.
Sheets, towels, and light snacks provided. A small fridge--mini-bar-style--is in the room and a TV with Direct TV premium channels. Wireless Internet also included
Extra! Extra! Please check out our other listings in the same house! It's fun to have multiple guests to make it feel like a "Real BNB!"
I enjoyed the room. Especially nice bath remodel, the bed was great and good TV with great selection of channels. The hardwood floor has been refinished but at the foot of the bed it is broken and I sunk in several times a day. You need to have the dog under control, he is not friendly and without you there he is understandably protective. It is 1.2 miles to Union Station. Better to tell people that than 15 minute walk. the location is good but a bit of a walk to the metro and capitol.
Gosh, this was the first I've heard of the broken floor. I've never heard of anyone else having this issue but I will check into it ASAP to fix. Our dog issue occurred because there was a mixup of the room assignments, which was my fault, and my dog gets very anxious whenever there is anxiety or confusion from me or from guests. When I'm not around, he usually ignores everyone. I double-checked the distance we are from Union Station using (website hidden) maps and got 0.7 miles and a 14-minute walk. I hope this helps everyone interested in staying here but still a little concerned about this guest's comments.
This place is wonderful. It's a nice house close to Union Station and there are several nice coffee shops within walking distance. The neighborhood is beautiful, quiet and safe. My friend and I (two girls) walked back from Eastern Market Metro station at night and it was totally fine. Our room is clean and cozy, with all the essentials we needed. Patrick is great, friendly and helpful. We enjoyed every minute here and in DC.
Patrick's place was fantastic! His pin code access made getting in extremely convenient, the Harmony Suite has everything you could need - i.e. coffee maker, mugs, fridge, tv with full cable access, private bathroom, full length mirror, large closet and a nice reading area!
The house in general is beautiful with all original floors exposed brick and big windows that bring in beautiful natural light. You can't beat this place -- it's a $6-$10 Uber ride to the convention center, very close to bike rentals, walking distance to coffee and food joints and I was able to Seamless for food a few nights for less than $15.
Patrick as a host is fantastic, he gives you space and when you do see him he is very friendly. His house assistant is also very accommodating and helpful for any questions you may have.
I was in town for a conference where my colleagues paid nearly $400 a night for their hotel rooms-- as I am an Airbnb host as well, I decided to go local and support the local economy and could not have found a better spot! I would definitely recommend Patrick's Harmony Suite for anyone visiting DC!
Patrick was great--he was welcoming and helpful. The room was better than the pictures, and honestly, better than a lot of hotel rooms I've stayed in. The location is great too. I could walk anywhere I needed to go, and was right near bus stops, metro stations, and bike rentals.
This is a great spot when staying in DC. It's close to Union Market which is very cool and Patrick is an impeccable host.
This was my first Airbnb experience so I was a bit nervous. However, Patrick was easy to get a hold of and friendly upon arrival. The room is just like the pictures and we were so grateful to have such a clean, spacious space after coming from a cramped room in New York the day before. The location couldn't be better, in a stunning and safe neighbourhood full of heritage homes. You can walk to all of the star attraction museums and monuments or you can take the metro which is just 5 blocks away. I would highly recommend that you stay with Patrick while enjoying your stay in DC!
Patrick is a nice chap. Easygoing. He likes to laugh and tell stories.
We did like very much to stay in Harmony suite. It's closed to Union Station around 0.5 mile. On the same street there is a nice coffe place called "Ebenezers".

I enjoy hosting an awesome house-to-share situation in Capitol Hill. My residence includes character, charm, and an awesome history of guests with fond memories and tales of their stay in DC on the Hill. I've recently lowered my prices to accommodate for the DC Hotel Tax that guests now have pay to Airbnb beginning in February 2015. My other listing in Baltimore MD is a private corporate efficiency in a lovely historic building in Mt Vernon with all the modern conveniences of a chic and comfy residence.
