Awesome double-occupancy suite with private jacuzzi tub, queen-size bed and access to the rest of this lovely residence in Capitol Hill.
In a very laidback, lifestyle-friendly, landlord-occupied house-to-share, you'll enjoy relaxing with a glass of wine on the main floor and light conversation--or a game of tug-o-war with our dog, Chuck E--or you can quietly relax on the back patio and then escape to the total privacy of your room.
The main floor is awesome and includes a baby grand piano, surround sound seating, and plenty of nooks to sit and read or do computer work. You can also use the nicely appointed kitchen or hang out downstairs in our cozy new Pub.
Location: Capitol Hill NE, one block from major DC Metro Bus lines and about nine blocks from each of two major DC Metro Rail Stations (Union Station and Eastern Market). Both bus lines have stops at either Metro Station and cab fare is not that bad to anywhere in the city. Stroll to the US Capitol diagonally down Maryland Ave (less than 1 mile) or meander to observe the unique architecture and the gardens of homes on Capitol Hill.
Venture out to the hot new H Street Atlas District for DC's most up-and-coming eclectic neighborhood, which is only two blocks away but insolated from the bustle.
Sheets, towels, and light snacks provided. A small fridge--mini-bar-style--is in the room and a TV with Direct TV premium channels. Wireless Internet also included

Wonderful! Patrick was a lovely host, and his home is warm and beautiful -- the room was fantastic, and even better than pictured. Patrick even helped me get a taxi to Capitol Hill when I was running late in the morning. The bed was super comfy, the water pressure was fantastic, and Chuck is a delight. I could not have asked for a better place to stay for my DC conference. Thanks Patrick!
My stay with Patrick was my first booking with AirBNB and the experience was overwhelmingly positive. Whenever I have made travel arrangements in the recent past, I've always considered AirBNB as an option but ended up using Priceline in my search for "a deal".
On this trip to DC, my good friend Mr. Priceline failed me (And I'm going to lay blame on the hoards of middle school kids diminishing the available supply of available hotel beds and creating a sellers' market), so I decided to take the AirBNB plunge. I'm very glad that I went this route and now it's going to part of my travel game plan.
Based upon prior reviews and location, I selected Patrick's suite near Capitol Hill. It was a last-minute reservation so when Patrick immediately confirmed the reservation and answered a few basic questions, I was immediately put at ease.
I flew to BWI and took a MARQ train to Union Station. Patrick's house was a very short taxicab ride from the train station. I made this trip for business on Capitol Hill and enjoyed my walk to my meetings each morning. A bus stop is about a block away and DC cab service was surprisingly prompt so there are many options for getting around.
Patrick's suite is nicely appointed and certainly gives off a good vibe and atmosphere (that's the "harmony" element). It's a welcome departure from the generic, boring room found at most standard business hotels.
If you're like me and an AirBNB novice, then I'd encourage you to book here. It's a very simple process; the room is conducive to a peaceful night's rest; and you're supporting a local business enterprise.
Patrick was a wonderful host: welcoming and friendly. Both his house and the suite are exactly as pictured. My companion and I were delighted with our stay and the location was ideal. We hope to return in the future.
This place was in a lovely neighbourhood and we had a spacious room with our own bathroom and the house was clean and neat. The host's friend (as the host was away) was generous and always helped us in every way we can. We really enjoyed our stay!
Excellent host and stay for my mum who was in DC for the week!
The place is situated on 15 min walk from Union Station in a charming neighborhood. It is very clean and comfortable. You can really rest and recover after the exhausting sightseeing day. Patrick and Everit are wonderful and helpful hosts. We did recommend the place to our friends.

Very comfortable and pleasant room and en-suite bathroom - excellent value for money in this up-market neighborhood. Patrick is a genial and helpful host.
Great location- walking distance to Union Station and the Capital. Great value. Beautiful old house, beautiful quiet neighborhood. Pleasant host. I really enjoyed the Jacuzzi after a day of walking and sight seeing. Comfortable bed. I highly recommend New Harmony Suite on Capital Hill for a Washington DC stay.
Our stay at the Harmony Suite was very comfortable. The room is exactly as shown in the pictures - very neat and clean. Plenty of linen and towels, Wi-Fi, private bathroom. Patrick was very accommodating towards our check-in and check-out times. The door has a lock code which makes going in/out easy. The location is safe, convenient and a short walk from the Union Station. Our interaction with Patrick was limited but it was a pleasure meeting him (& Chuck).
We had a great time staying at Patrick's house! He is a wonderful host who made us feel at home. Patrick's place is in a good location and we can walk to union station within a few minutes! The suite is very comfortable and warm. Patrick's dog Chuck is also very friendly. Overall, staying at Patrick's house is part of the great DC travel experience -- something new, interesting, and warm. Thank you Patrick!
