Come and be our guest at our traditional tenement flat in Battlefield Glasgow. You'll be staying in our kingsize guest room which overlooks the garden and so you're sure to get a peaceful nights sleep. The room also has a large walk in wardrobe where you can unpack your suitcase and it also has the added bonus of a wash hand basin.
You're welcome to make yourself at home and have full access to the kitchen and living areas.
My partner and I are freelance artists and so if you're looking for top tips on things to see and do in our lovely city then you've come to the right place. We love going to the theatre, cinema, music gigs, eating & drinking out and of course meeting new people. We would be more than happy to make some recommendations. We also have another house mate.... Our (very small and well behaved!) dog, roxy. She's a jackadoodle. She's not allowed in the guest bedroom but she might insist on saying hello to you at some point
Our flat is on the bus and train route into the city centre and the west end. Journey time into the centre is approx 15 min and 30 min on the bus to the west end of town. We are walking distance from the bustling shawlands cross (a popular local area) where you'll find plenty of places to eat and drink. Other popular attractions in the southside of the town include; the Burrell Collection at Pollok Country Park, Rouken Glen, Bellahouston Park and the famous House for an Art Lover by Charles Rennie Mackintosh, The Tramway Theatre and Exhibition centre, Hampden football park and Scotland Street School Museum, to name but a few!
We look forward to welcoming you to Glasgow!
My partner and I are freelancers so sometimes we're away with work and you may have the place to yourself, other times we may be working from home. Please just make yourself at home. You'll have full access to the kitchen if you want to cook or indeed the living room if you just feel like chilling out.
Interaction with guests
We'll gladly offer you some local recommendations. We work in the theatre so if that's something that's of interest to you we can help arrange tickets to see a show. Another passion of ours is good food and drink :) I've travelled all over the world (and I might be biased) but I think Glasgow has some of the best restaurants in the UK.
Battlefield in the southside of Glasgow has a lovely quiet feel about it. The area is popular with young families but is still within walking distance from the bustling shawlands cross and Victoria road where you'll find a good range of pubs and places to eat. We're also a stones throw from the beautiful Queen's Park. And for concerts and football games, Hampden park is walking distance from us too.
We do have on street parking if you have a car that's no problem. There is also a bus stop at the front door which will take you into the city centre or the west end (bus routes no 4,5 &6) Our nearest train station is Mount Florida (approx 8 min walk)
Other things to note
We do have a little dog called roxy! She's very popular with guests and she won't bother you but just something to bear in mind. I realise it's not for everyone.
It's our home....we love it, we're sure you will too but please be respectful of it. We only have one :)
Hello! My partner, Hannah, and I both work freelance and travel a lot as a result. we've spent a lot of time as guests in other peoples houses so we know how we'd like to be treated! And it's always nice to meet new people :) Our flat is a reflection of our personality. It's not a 5 star hotel... But we think it's better!
We love cooking and anything to do with the arts. Which is why we love the location of our house so much! X
