  • Roman was a great host. He was kind, and he was very knowledgeable about Paris. He gave us some great sight-seeing suggestions that we would have never discovered on our own. His flat was nice, clean, and cozy. The flat was only about a five minute walk from the metro station, which made it a great place from which to explore Paris. Great stay!

  • The first thing you notice upon entering Roman's flat is the cleanliness and coziness of the place. It had all the bare essentials, and Roman kindly left out some maps and tourist brochures for us to peruse. The flat is approximately a 10 minute walk away from the nearest metro station, and there's a great bakery only steps away. Roman was always available to answer questions, and his friend, Aymerick (with whom we met to obtain the keys), explained everything there was to know about the flat. All in all, we had a good experience with Roman.

  • Roman is an exquisite person. Very responsive and accommodating. Our flight landed late but he waited for us to arrive in order to show us everything. He suggested places to visit and gave us guides and maps.
The flat is very comfortable, clean and functional, spacious and light. There are many books if you want to read, as well as DVDs and CDs.The kitchen is well equipped and has a great tea collection.
The area may be the nicest residential one in Paris, quiet yet with a good number of ethnic restaurants, shops and public facilities - parks, playgrounds, local market, swimming pool.
    Highly recommended!

  • My wife and I stayed for a month at the apartment and had a great memory of the apartment. Roman was, as was reviewed by other guest, very warm, informative and responsive and made the check-in and check-out process smoothly. Listing was very much as expected and all the pictures were realistic. Neighborhood was ethnically mixed, lively, safe and quiet at night. Metro (subway) station is 7 minutes away and it takes 15 minutes of Metro ride to get to the center of town. Grocery shopping is very convenient. Paris Store was the one that we used most which, though somewhat sloppy in appearance, had reasonable selections of items and great prices. There are several Chinese restaurants in the neighborhood too. The room is spacious and comfortable considering the cost, with the sofas, the books and the Mozart CD's. The compact kitchen is very functional. wifi and washer worked smoothly. About the only thing that bothered us somewhat was the 5 stories of stairs without elevator. We recommend Roman’s apartment strongly.

  • We stayed at Roman's place at the end of April 14 for 5 days during our European Holiday! Roman's place is excellent and exceptionally cozy! :)

Roman is an excellent host. Very warm and welcoming upon our arrival. He showed us all the necessities with his place and provided excellent directions to his place. He was always easily contactable. :)

Highly recommended for couples or a small family. :)

  • I had a fabulous stay at Roman's apartment in La Chapelle. The place is in a charming old walkup, located in one of the most diverse parts of Paris. Montmartre is within walking distance, and Belleville (where I went for indie theatre), Cité de la musique (where I went for classical music), the Seine canals (gorgeous walks and people watching), and even Opéra-Comique more down south -- are all within a quick bicycling distance.

Roman knows Paris well and whatever your interests, chances are he'll be able to help. We share the love of cycling, so he introduced me to the Paris' municipal bike-sharing program, which I adored from the word go. And with anything else I needed, he was impressively quick to respond, and even re-arrange his day to be able to meet if a meeting is needed.

The apt. has an impressive library on social and poli sci and European literatures, and it just so happened that we had many of the same books. (Also psst ask him about his completist collection of Mozart recordings, all at your disposal.) Wifi is always reliable, the neighbours are quiet, the urbanscape view from the windows is sweet, the kitchen is well-stocked with essentials, and so is the bathroom. The washing machine is a spiffy and easy to handle front-loader. The bed is comfy and wide, the desk ditto (should you bring any work with you). There are at least two supermarkets and countless convenience stores and bakeries within a few blocks, and there's a daily farmers market in the area too. If you walk to the apt from Gare du nord, you will pass through a pretty decent Little India where you can get your fix of Indian, should the fancy strike.

Really, the whole experience was fantastic. I will be back.

  • What a lovely place to stay in Paris! My boyfriend and I really enjoyed our stay at Roman's apartment, and he was a fantastic host - very flexible about arrival and departure times and very quick to respond to messages. Roman gave us a lot of useful information about the neighbourhood and things to see/do that were off the beaten tourist path, which we both really appreciated.

We loved the apartment - stylishly furnished, light and airy. It was also very cosy and tidy, and we felt very comfortable there. The kitchen was well equipped - useful if you want to cook during your stayHe had an extensive and interesting collection of books as well which would have made for some very fascinating conversations. The apartment was just a short walk away from Max Dormoy station, very close to the wonderful Marché de l'Olive, and lots of lovely shops, bakeries and cafés. I would note, however, that the apartment is on the top floor of a five storey building and there is no lift so be prepared for a good workout for your legs! Nevertheless, we had a great time and would wholeheartedly recommend Roman's apartment. We'd happily stay there again!

  • Ideal location to feel like a "local". Our host welcomed us and gave us a quick tour of the neighborhood advising of the best "traditional" baguettes and fruit/vegetable stand. Very close to the Metro station where we could connect and go to any of the Paris attractions. The apartment was furnished and had everything we needed for our week's stay. Highly recommended.
