The apartment was very cleanly, and was conveniently a few minutes walk to the colma bart station. You will also have an opportunity to meet other awesome people during your stay. The only negative would be the paper thin walls separating the rooms, but generally the tenants are travelers or working professionals, so they are mindful to keep the noise level down at night.
The reservation was canceled the day before arrival. This is an automated posting.
I stayed for a week in the private room at the Daly City HackerHome and I have to say it was pretty average. It was technically everything that was promised but the home itself felt like a working hostel. It was small, a little cluttered with peoples stuff lying around and the walls are literally paper thin. The neighborhood is also quite bleak. Its close to the Bart though so it is easy enough to get in and out of town.
Having said all that, I enjoyed my time in SF and my host Mehmet was a nice guy, I just can't recommend this to anyone looking for more than a student crash pad.
This place is perfect. You have the best roommates here ever! I just love it!!!!!!
Great experience staying for around two weeks at the Daly City Hacker Home. The house itself was great and shared with a bunch of friendly folks. I initially had reservations about parking - but never once had a problem as there was ample street parking.
Even though I did not meet Vic, he was incredibly helpful and would respond almost immediately if you had any questions. Overall, a great experience staying here !
Vic was very responsive to our requests and replied each of them under 10min. Though Daly City is not a warm place, the heating system was great! All other aspect of the listing is accurate to its description and I will definitely stay again if I had the chance!
It was great staying at Vic's Hacker Home. Quite place. I had a private room. Kitchen was always stocked with fruits and other stuff. Vic is very responsive and answered every phone call I made to him during the stay. I made one month booking because I moved to SF and was looking for places, was not sure how long it will take, turned out I found a permanent place in 15 days and Vic was soo corporative in this situation when I had to cut my stay short. Overall a nice place to crash and a nice host.
