The HackerHome Network
Whether you're new to the Valley, bored with your current housing or need a transient place... I would like to help. When you reserve with me, you'll have instant friends and be part of a network of 11 homes in the Bay Area.
The open dining and living area is setup to have a comfortable place to work or relax. There's a separate communal work area with multiple desks.
3 bedrooms - 1 private and 2 shared rooms
2 full bathrooms
All utilities are included and the WIFI is fast!
Clean linens/bedding are provided + a fresh towel.
Why would someone say light cooking? Home prepped meals really warms up the house and it's encouraged.
Interaction with Guests
It's a house full of people & different schedules. So please use ear plugs if necessary. If you're a light sleeper or can't sleep on a single mattress, this may not be the right place for you.
We are a very communal/respectful group and strive to provide space for everyone to work and hangout. Remember that work, musical instruments and books take precedence over the television.
Daly City is a location that fits the budget and only an 8 minute walk to Bart! It only takes 20 minutes to downtown San Francisco.
Other Things to Note
More than one suitcase? Consult with me prior to making your reservation.
Respectful Housing for Women
Females in a separate room. If you'd like to stay in the girls' room, please check with me on availability before reserving. If you don't have a preference, then just make your reservation.
The Airbnb cleaning fee is to make sure you have a clean bed upon arrival and not to clean up after you. All spaces are shared, so please be mindful of picking up after yourself. If you're a longer term guest, remember to use one bath towel and wash it with your own load of laundry.
Best Way to Reach Me
1. Complete your Airbnb profile with an ID/Passport and connect your social networks.
2. One line about your purpose of visit.
3. Let me know your duration of stay and estimated time of arrival on your check in date.
Clean your dishes right away
Smoke only in the backyard
If you must invite an associate/friend over, consult with me first
Be conscientious of morning bathroom usage
Do not snooze your alarm
Use earphones, not speakers - unless it's a family event
We Prefer That You
be respectful of the space and to fellow housemates
clean up after yourself by making your bed and washing your dishes
have an optimistic outlook and laugh a lot =D
Though I didn't have the chance to meet Vic in person, he was very communicative throughout the duration of my stay. Entry and exit was easy, and the apartment was very well kept.
I would not hesitate to stay here again.
Also, close to Milbrae BART.
Keep up the good work Vic!
I stayed at the Haight House. I couldn't wish for a better location near great cafes, bars, restaurant and easy access to public transport. The house was better than what I expected. At first I went there for a month and ended up extending my stay for another month and a half more! Thank you Vic for letting me stay there.
The house attracts great housemates and is a good environment to work/study as well as having family dinners! Vic cooked the first Clam Chowder soup I ever tried and it was delicious!
The house has a great space, beautiful views, comfortable rooms and has everything you need. It is truly a San Franciscan stay! It was nice to have people coming in weekly to clean the house even thought it was quite clean all the time!
It was definitely hard to leave my Haight FAMILY and will work hard to come back to this beautiful city...and who knows...to another stay at the Haight Home :)
Vic gave me all the information I needed in good time so I could let myself into the house and make myself at home. My only requirement was for everything to work, i.e the internet, showers, etc so anything else was a bonus and there were a lot of bonuses! He even left me a travel card to use. One time I came home and there was a homemade stew and a fresh loaf of bread. Vic invites us hackerhabitants to shows, dinners and partys, and I attended all of them and felt very welcome! and got an insight of the SF culture. Should I ever come to San Francisco again, I would definitley stay in one of Vics home without question and hope to meet him and all my new friends again soon.
The Daly City HackerHouse was a fantastic place to stay. It's very close to the Bart station, and to some stores (7/11, Walgreens, and more).
And the better part is the interaction with the other roommates: I came in, and I found roommates, I went out having found friends.
I totally recommend staying there to everyone that is in need of a clean, friendly and accomodating place to stay.
It is actually like a family in this place. I stayed for three months and had one of the best summers of my life. The place is kept clean, Vic will frequently bring by snacks for everyone to eat and there are social events organized between houses - its awesome. No complaints
Vic is awesome and I had a great stay. Thanks for helping make my relocation process so much easier!
