Our stay was perfect. Caroline's house is located in a very quiet place, with parking space. The house is comfortable, with a lovely sitting room. Breakfast (muesli, yogurt, juice, rolls with butter and jam, and strong good coffee) is in another beautiful room with an amazing view towards Croagh Patrick. The room is just perfect, just as the (email hidden)roline was extremely friendly offering us coffee or tea on arrival and gave us nice tips (like going to the local pub - Bucklefield)...we'll definitely go back if we get the chance....almost forgot Zack, the little adorable dog....all he wants is being cuddled...
We had a lovely albeit brief stay at the Seaside Cottage. We were delayed getting there and it was late by the time we arrived, Caroline accommodated our late arrival no problem. It's a little distance outside Westport but if you are cycling or driving it's ok. We were doing the Greenway and were due to cycle from there to Achill, although plans changed due to a little rain in the morning. So we drove to newport. Saw some nice countryside on the journey there, would be nice to cycle from there if we visit again! We had a nice stay there, Caroline was a lovely host and her little dog zak was adorable!
Caroline was a truly kind and wonderful host. Her home was welcoming, clean, and a pleasure to stay in. Caroline provided me with helpful tips on places to enjoy in Westport. She was even kind enough to drive me into town because I did not have a car. Staying with Caroline and her family was one of the highlights of my trip to Ireland, would absolutely recommend!
Caroline is a fantastic host and has a lovely home with two of the cutest animals to keep you company if you want which we did. She served us a nice little breaky in her sitting room with an amazing view of Croagh Patrick. She provided excellent recommendations for our stay on dinner and site seeing. If you are looking for a nice place to stay off the beaten path don't hesitate to book.
I enjoyed staying here and Caroline made me feel right at home. The room was lovely and airy and very comfortable. Views were stunning aswell! I would return here on my next visit.
Caroline was an incredible host. She is friendly and interesting... and provides a delicious breakfast. She also gave my wife and I excellent recommendations for Westport and even drove us to dinner one night. The house is great too: it has a beautiful garden and a gorgeous view of Croagh Patrick and Clew Bay. We really loved our stay and hope to go back to Westport soon! We highly recommend this seaside cottage.
We arrived after climbing Croagh Patrick and were welcomed by Caroline, who offered us a cup of tea and showed s the room + bathroom.
The bed and pillows are very comfy, all the comfort we needed for our weekend between hill climbing and cycling the beautiful Greenway.
Caroline gave us tips about the restaurants and cycle ways and activities around, very appreciated!
Oh, and the breakfast was amazing, with views on Croagh Patrick from the living room!
