Sophie's apartment was really good situated, very cozy and everything was the same as in the pictures.
Sophie was always in touch and if we had some questions about she replay us really fast.
We spent a really good week there!
Fantastic location, no surprises about the appartment, and quick and helpful responses from Sophie!
Great location. The apartment was perfect for our needs and we had a seamless stay. The apartment was a little chilly but nothing we couldn't handle.
Great location just up the road from the a metro and the Notre Dame, everything worked out arriving smoothly. The place is cozy, but plenty of blankets/pillows for a warm night sleep.
First off, one must state for the record that Sophie was an outstanding host. I had this terrible fear that I would turn up (minus the cost) and find no such reservation or even building - however, this was genuine. Sophie's communication was excellent. All questions were answered quickly, accurately, and precisely.
The location was just exquisite. I literally could not have hoped for a better (and safer) neighbourhood - 5 mins walk to the Seine, 7 mins to Notre Dame, Metro on the corner, the best bakery in the world 2 mins away, and the finest breakfast coffee and hot chocolate (Cafe Klip Clop). Fantastic.
All of that being said, (and to be fair, Sophie also has mentioned this in the comments), the apartment is small. Those of you from the US, better keep a very very open mind. Realistically, this is an apartment for 2 adults and a kid. If that. If you have teenagers, think carefully. They tend to like their space. Having said that, our trip (and the brilliant location) allowed us to be out and about all day, so the apartment really was a crash pad. However, the kitchen is small and quite poorly appointed, so again, factor that into your decision.
Sophie was extremely accomodating - I did ask if we could arrive before noon (even though check in was 3 pm), and this was find. However, I was warned that the cleaner would not yet have arrived (which was true - and those of you that were in Sophies apartment the last week of December, shame on you. Your mothers would be disgusted by your lack of manners). So following the cleaner, the rooms were clean and we were ready to roll.
So in summary, Sophie has very accurately listed her apartment. For those of us with a US or Australian out look, it is really small and if you have more that say 3 people (and some teenagers), this may spell trouble. But, one simply cannot over emphasise the quality of the location, and, the forthrightness and accuracy of Sophie as a host.
Perfect location, flat small but cosy, good for max 3-4 people. Very nice contact with landlord. Recommended.
Great location, very close to Notre Dame and metro station. Located on the street with many caffe bars
The apartment is located on the highest floor quite small but for two people is ok. The contact with the owner was very good. I would recomend this place.
You can get no better location to live in Paris, it's really in the city center, 10 minutes to Notre Dame and many other attractions. Still I would not recommend this place for more than 4 guests, and they should not be very old :) It's quite small and crowded and somehow reminded us of our college years
Sophie was wonderful to communicate with and her apartment was in a great, central location. I, unfortunately, had what I hope is a unique experience. The previous renters were not out until after my arrival and the apartment wasn't cleaned until two days into my stay, leaving me without clean sheets or a towel. If you just need a place to store your luggage and crash at night it will do the trick. It is very close to many major sights, shopping and restaurants.
