Interaction with Guests
We usually greet each guest personally but sometimes we are under a deadline and have to keep working. We would love to give you a tour of the farm if you'd like. We will interact with you as much as you like. Some guests want to be more private and we respect that. The motor home is away from the main houses and it is very private but there are other abodes on the property. You may check in anytime you like.
Our farm is in a country setting but city life is only 5 miles away. There is a little country store that has the "world's best beef jerky" just up the road too. Foster Park and Lake Casitas are very close for picnics or cookouts. We no longer can allow fires on the property.
We are just 1/2 mile from the highway. There is also a bus line by the highway.
There is a nice bike/walking path that goes North to Ojai or South along the Ventura River to the beach and on to the Ventura marina.
Other Things to Note
We do have two dogs on the property. Parents please watch your children around the dogs. They are friendly but don't like to have any faces in their faces. There are other animals on the property too. Please do not feed them unless we are with you.
We don't use any chemicals on the farm. The motor home is cleaned with non-toxic essential oils.
Happy people around. Come breathe easy and relax!
No smoking ANYWHERE on the premises, no campfires and no pets. Please drive slowly on the driveway as there are two not so street smart dogs present. Since this is a working farm we all have to rise early. We ask that you be quiet after 10:00 PM. If you are arriving in the evening please be mindful how much noise you make (closing car doors, small children, voices, car alarms). You will be given the gate code and may come and go as you please but if you do come in late please be quiet. This motor home will be our retirement home, please treat it with respect.
Please no feminine products down the toilet.
We didn't get to meet Ann, what we'd have loved it. It's a charming and cool autocaravan just as in the pictures. We only spent one night, but we'd have love to stay longer. All the products for the breakfast were delicious. The environment is just amazing. We had a lot of fun there. Highly recommendable.
We liked the motorhome very much. It was a very nice experience. Ann and her husband are very nice, friendly and welcoming. They gave us some recommendations what to see and where to eat. That was very helpfull. In the motorhome Ann provided a variety of snacks, the kitchen ist very well equiped. We enjoyed the eggs and the tomatoes from the farm very much. They were delicious.
Cozy, quiet, and peaceful. We could only stay one night and arrived late, but Ann was great--left the light on for us. Quick and easy to get to from the freeway, but on a quiet country road.
We had an amazing stay at Ann's motor home. The check-in was very smooth, with clear directions. The motor home was exactly as described in the listing, everything we needed was there - it was very clean, comfortable and cozy. Throughout our visit Ann was around if we had any questions. The children had a wonderful time exploring the farm and everybody on the farm was incredibly friendly and helpful. Ann provided us with eggs laid by the chickens on her farm and other breakfast treats. It was a great stay, close to nice towns and activities and at the same time a quiet retreat.
The property is as described, the hosts were very welcoming. Andy gave me the run down of how all the RV controls work, and we were left alone.
We had an early morning appointment and were unable to sample the many charms of the farm, such as the farm fresh eggs. Next time.
I can readily recommend this accommodation.
My boyfriend and I had a wonderful time at Ann's farm! We got a lovely tour of the farm, enjoyed freshly picked Concord grapes and fresh eggs from the chicken and ducks in the morning. Ann also let us know about a meteor shower the night we stayed so we were able to see some amazing meteors. Thanks so much Ann for a great stay.
