Interaction with Guests
We usually greet each guest personally but sometimes we are under a deadline and have to keep working. We would love to give you a tour of the farm if you'd like. We will interact with you as much as you like. Some guests want to be more private and we respect that. The motor home is away from the main houses and it is very private but there are other abodes on the property. You may check in anytime you like.
Our farm is in a country setting but city life is only 5 miles away. There is a little country store that has the "world's best beef jerky" just up the road too. Foster Park and Lake Casitas are very close for picnics or cookouts. We no longer can allow fires on the property.
We are just 1/2 mile from the highway. There is also a bus line by the highway.
There is a nice bike/walking path that goes North to Ojai or South along the Ventura River to the beach and on to the Ventura marina.
Other Things to Note
We do have two dogs on the property. Parents please watch your children around the dogs. They are friendly but don't like to have any faces in their faces. There are other animals on the property too. Please do not feed them unless we are with you.
We don't use any chemicals on the farm. The motor home is cleaned with non-toxic essential oils.
Happy people around. Come breathe easy and relax!
No smoking ANYWHERE on the premises, no campfires and no pets. Please drive slowly on the driveway as there are two not so street smart dogs present. Since this is a working farm we all have to rise early. We ask that you be quiet after 10:00 PM. If you are arriving in the evening please be mindful how much noise you make (closing car doors, small children, voices, car alarms). You will be given the gate code and may come and go as you please but if you do come in late please be quiet. This motor home will be our retirement home, please treat it with respect.
Please no feminine products down the toilet.
We felt welcome
Really nice experience to stay on a farm with a motor home . It was a really nice and quiet area
Cozy place to stay. Great location and easy to find. The property was really peaceful and nice to be on.
Ann was really helpful with the check in process and made the logistics simple.
The fresh flowers were beautiful and the home was stocked with everything you would need.
Overall great listing.
The RV was immaculate. We had a great stay- very close to Ventura and Ojai. We visited both.
Lovely folks and very welcoming. Seemed very private even though on property with the owners.
I stayed with 3 friends in this motor home for one night during July and I really wished we could have stayed longer! It's located on a really nice and quiet organic farm a little bit outside from Ventura, but you still just need 20 minutes to be at the Ventura Beach or the Pier with a lot of nice places to eat or go shopping.
The husband of Ann welcomed us when we arrived and offered us a tour of the farm. They are really nice people and we felt comfortable from the first second.
The Motor home itself has everything you will need, enough space for four people, a bathroom with a hot shower, a small kitchen with a fridge stocked with eggs, fruits, drinks and more (thank you for that!!) and a nice porch to enjoy the evening outside.
I can recommend it to everyone that doesn't need too much luxus and I will definitely stay the here again when I'm in Ventura.
Sorry to write the review so late because there was almost no wifi in the national parks. The motorhome is very spacious and have everything we need. We even cooked the fresh duck eggs prepared for us! Ann is very nice and ready to help us to make us comfortable. My daughter insisted on a tour of the farm which was a bonus! Andy is very patient and shared the organic idea of their farm with us. We took pictures with The lovely flowers and picked the eggs. We also visited the warm house for propagating from cuttings. I have a small garden and was interested in what Andy told me about organic compost and the interaction with the microbes. I benefited a lot from the tour and may apply to my garden. Thank you Andy!
