  • We enjoyed Peter's place very much! Peter is a very responsive host, always returning my texts and calls immediately and answering my many questions. Our room was clean and the bed was super comfortable, with very nice sheets and pillows (love that he paid attention to these things). We had everything we needed, including lots of hot water!
The bridge is pretty close, so traffic and trains might be a little much for country folks, and there's a bar next door and below that plays pretty loud music til 12 or 1 on the weekends, but it IS NYC, so it's just part of the deal.
Love being one stop over on the L, and had it not rained I would've just used Citibikes a lot to get around.
Killer coffee (Oslo) 1 block away, amazing bagels and great pizza, and if you want to spend some real money, there is quite an array of eateries close by. Quite a vibrant neighborhood these days, that's for sure.
I'd love to stay here again sometime, it's great to find a place that works out so well. Thanks, Peter.

  • Peter was a really great and nice host! The first day we came, despite having messed up the times of arrival, peter was still super about our stay. The first night we were put in the lower loft room, which wasn't the room that we had booked, and so peter immediately told us that it was just for one night and that he would credit us back $20 because of this small change.
The place was really nice and cosy, and peter was super helpful is every way!

  • This was a clean room with a comfy bed and big wardrobe. The flat is in a great location, near lots of coffeeshops, bakeries, bars and restaurants, and in easy walking distance of subway stops. A good value.

  • My fiance and I had a great experience staying at Peter's apartment. We couldn't have asked for a better location - close walk to the subway and plenty of bars and restaurants nearby to keep us entertained. Our room had plenty of space for the two of us and was very clean. It was very easy to get in to the apartment even though Peter wasn't home at the time. He was very pleasant to communicate with. Would recommend for one or two people looking for a convenient place to crash in a fun location.

  • My stay at Peter's place was wonderful! His place was pretty close to the metro and it takes around 15-20mins to downtown! The apartment was really cosy! Totally loved my stay there ;)

About
Hey everyone, my name is Peter Chen. I've been hosting now for a couple of years now And everyday I always strive to do my best. All the photos in my profile are a mix of great airbnb guests, my family, and friends. Im originally from CA, but have been a resident of NY now since 2004. I moved to Williamsburg recently in 2011 and I have to admit I dont know what took me so long to move here, it really is an awesome neighborhood. Its really brought peace in what I now truly feel is home. Something interesting about myself, I do own an apt in Williamsburg and i'm very proud of my first purchase. Before settling down, I was a nomadic traveler, living right out of a large suitcase. I've travelled to London, Paris, Milan multiple times as well as Pescara, Taipei, Honolulu, San Diego, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Miami, and now that I've settled, NYC is where I hang my Hat as home. I'm a big foodie and love going out to eat and drink at all the restaurants, cafes, lounges, and bars. i love the outdoors and love shopping at the local spots for food, gadgets, clothes, etc. I do not speak Spanish or French but my best friend speaks fluent French and Spanish and loves meeting new people as well. On nice days, I like going out riding my bike, walking around, and laying out in the parks. Also love lounging out on the balcony reading, and playing games. And on days a little rainy I usually order stuff on apple tv or watch netflix. Through Hosting, I've met lots of really cool people from all around the world, each with a story to tell. I always look forward in connecting with new people. Check in with me as a guest, but we'll always part with a new friendship.
