A fellow PhD student and I spent 4 nights with Gary and François while we attended a conference in downtown Toronto. I have nothing but great things to say about our stay. Gary and François were welcoming, accommodating and quite talkative. It made for an extremely pleasurable experience.
The suite is located in a quiet neighbourhood, with plenty of great restaurants and bars, perfect after a long day at the conference. For those who like to walk and see the city, it is about a 20 minutes walk to the CN Tower, Roger's Center, and Union Station, and for those who don't, about 5-10 minutes by streetcar.
I highly recommend Gary and François if you are looking for a nice, relaxing, friendly place to stay while in Toronto!
Gary and Francois are two truly amazing people. They are genuinely kind and friendly and always helpful. They are respectful of you and your private space. I stayed with them for 2 months, and I loved spending time with them making conversation and joking around – they really are great people! The place was utterly perfect and at a great location. I give them my highest recommendation and a heartfelt thank you for making my stay in Toronto absolutely wonderful!
Staying at these guys made our Toronto experience even better! We really liked the room we slept. Gary & Francois are very enthousiastic telling everything about the city. These guys also have a great sense of humor.
Gary and Francois are two of the most genuine people you will ever meet. They were nothing but accommodating. Every single day that we spent there was a good day, and every single time we saw both gentlemen they were all smiles, very polite and easy to chat to.
The location of the house is quite good. It's really easy and effortless to walk up a block to a very busy street that leads all the way into the center of town. Along the way are a vast amount of restaurants, shops, cafes etc. If you don't mind walking it's only 25-30 minutes to the CN Tower.
While we stayed in Toronto we felt that it was a very safe environment no matter what time of the day it is.
All in all it was the best travel experience I've ever had, and I've been to a lot of places. From the little chocolates to the morning make up we both had a fabulous time.
Thank you Gary and Francois.
Gary & Francois were extremely hospitable and courteous. The room was spotless, and the location was dynamite.
On top of that, Gary & Francois were great people. I would certainly stay here again, without a doubt. If you aren't familiar with the city, they'll certainly guide you in the right direction.
Gary and Francois are amazing host, from the minute you walk until you leave. They give you your privacy but are always open for a chat. The 3th floor is fantastic and its their little touch to every detail that made our stay perfect.
The neighborhood is safe and quite but within a 5 minute walk you are right in the city center.
For all these reasons but specially there hospitality I highly recommended a stay with Gary & Francois!
It is impossible to not feel directly at home with Gary and François. Hotel quality with a friendly face and a personal touch. On your own floor you'll find everything you need. Plenty of privacy, but Gary and François will always make time for a chat if you are looking for some company. Me and my mum stayed with them for 6 days and we had a great time. Since the house is situated close to the centre it was easy to walk to most of the touristic place. And for those who don't like walking, the streetcar and subway are closeby. We definetely recommend this place to others. It is a great place with perfect hosts that could always make us laugh!
We've lived in Toronto's King West/Niagara neighbourhood since 2007; it's quiet, safe, and friendly with lots of amenities and we really enjoy it here. We're easygoing, respectful, we have a sense of humour and we sometimes like to sing around the house.
If you were to stay with us, the whole of the furnished 3rd floor would be your own private space. You would have use of a shared kitchen and dining room, as well as laundry facilities in the basement.
Access to the house would be shared, via the front door (i.e. no private entrance), and you'd receive a key upon arrival.
We look forward to hosting you if you choose to stay in our home!
Gary & François.
