My beautiful house dates from 1875 and is 5 minutes walk from the centre of town in a quiet conservation area. The room itself is on the second floor and is a spacious double with a double bed, sofa, a desk, and loads of storage space. The price includes a continental breakfast ,towels and bedding and broadband, fuel and local taxes. the room also has a nice view from the window. The house has a garden, with free car parking one minutes walk from the house. You will have access to my huge, well equipped kitchen (24 square metres)/ living room. There is also a TV in the kitchen which you are welcome to watch.
This is a lovely room with a view over the river Tay. It is also next door to the bathroom shared with one other room. There is one double and one single bed in the room.
The Playwright Restaurant, is,in my opinion, the best restaurant in Dundee! And it is very reasonably priced for lunch or if you book around 6pm in the evening. Dundee Contemporary Arts Centre is a short walk away, and hosts exhibitions from international artists, courses and workshops, and has 2 cinemas which show the best foreign films, and some great classics as well! You can also see live opera from the Met and twice theatre from the National theatre in London. The two universities of Abertay and Dundee are respectively 5 and 15 minutes away on foot .The Dundee Rep theatre is the only national theatre that still has its own resident and permanent cast and has produced many award winning plays
My home is a great place for you to start exploring Dundee!
no smoking please in the flat and dispose of cigarettes in the dustbins outside.
Nice room, good company from Kathleen and her flat mates and interesting conversations- a good place to stay in Dundee! There was even snow :)
A very nice room in a large home. Had a wonderful time chatting with Kathleen and a couple of the other tenants in the shared kitchen. Very laid back feel around the home, with plenty of privacy in the room but a shared common space to visit with others if desired. Room and bathroom were very clean. I would definitely stay again if I am ever in the area.
When we arrived a very nice neighbour awaited us and showed us to our room, we had all the privacy and were able to come and go as we wanted. The room and the bath were refurnished, nice and a little treat was awaiting us. The cofee and tee and breakfast were ready, the kitchen could also be used. There are quite some people in the house, the car can be left about 3 min. away. We met Kathleen in the morning and had a very nice chat. And you can see from afar that the house is owned by an artist. Some lovely things there!
Kathleen was casual and chatty, she met me at the house and showed me around. Any questions I had were answered, and we had a little laugh watching YouTube channels that she recommended. It did feel a little like a youth hostel with the amount of people staying there, but all of them were very friendly and welcoming.
Kathleen is a nice lady and showed me around when I arrived. She has a nice home with lots of books, art and musical instruments. I don't think that you could get bored in her house. Other than that I didn't really see her because I was out. She shows an interest in your visit and her home as an easy going feel. It is a very comfortable environment.
Kathleen was great to communicate with when planning our stay and even though she couldn't be there to meet us she meticulously made arrangements for our arrival and ensured we were warmly greeted by her son. A cosy and friendly overnight stay with interesting conversation thrown in for good measure.

I think the most important thing in life is to never say anything to another person that could not stand as the very last thing you ever said to that person and that friendship is the most important thing in life.
