Aurelea offers a private suite which includes a bedroom, a full bathroom, a private entrance, off street parking and a lovely garden. The suite is a completely private part of our post & beam, passive solar heated home. It overlooks Easton's Pond, where you will catch the most beautiful sunrises, everyday. In the evening, the sunset reflects off the buildings on the far side of the pond -- equally stunning. Aurelea is located just three blocks away from the Cliff Walk and Easton's Beach and is a short walk to Bellevue Avenue, the wharfs, and all the shops and restaurants. A great feature is that, even though it is centrally located, it is set on the quiet side of town. It is surrounded by trees and shrubs -- home to many birds. Italian is also spoken. We enjoy making suggestions for dining and other activities. We hope you will come see for yourself why we love living in Newport.
We stayed at Maria's place for one night only - a quick trip to Newport. Overall, it was a comfortable place to stay and a good location for seeing Newport. We were able to park in the driveway and had a separate entrance to the house. The decor in the bedroom, bathroom, and foyer/hallway is stylish, and the rooms are very clean. The bed is very comfortable with extra blankets and pillows located inside the room. Though we didn't meet Maria, she was efficiently communicative while planning our stay.
Maria's place was wonderful. Very private and a view of the water. We walked everywhere from this base. Maria was very accommodating.
Staying at Aurelea is like going back in time.... Heavenly. The space was immaculate and cozy, and very private. Maria's home is right on the water with beautiful views. Very convenient to all you will want to do in Newport. Thank you, Maria, for a lovely experience.
We had a wonderful stay at Maria's place. She was a friendly and helpful host and the space was perfect because we were attending a wedding right around the corner.
The room at Maria's was perfect for our 2-day visit to Newport. It was exactly what we needed. Maria also recommended some great restaurants (clam chowder at the Black Pearl, best ever) and breakfast at Belle's in the shipyard. Thank you, Maria!
We had a great time at this beautifully appointed place. Everything was in place, and Maria was very pleasant and professional to work with. Thanks!
I only wish I could have stayed longer at Maria's home! We stayed for one night, but felt very welcome. The room and bath is exactly as described, and very private! There is a gorgeous view of the water out back as well. I would definitely recommend staying with Maria.
This was our first time using airbnb and we had a great experience! Maria was easy to reach, responsive, and super friendly. The room was as pictured and very charming and the location was very nice.
This was my wife's and my first Airbnb experience, and it couldn't have gone any better. The bedroom was exactly as advertised...quiet, cozy, comfortable, and full of character. The bathroom was more than adequate, with a bevy of body wash, shampoo, and conditioner. Perhaps most importantly, the plentiful towel supply more than satisfied my wife's large appetite. And Maria was terrific from start to finish. She gave us a great, off the beaten path breakfast recommendation, took pictures of us before we departed for our event, and even helped tie my bow tie!
We wouldn't have changed a thing about the experience, and we very much hope to get back up to Maria's Oasis in the not too distant future.
Maria is a wonderful host and although I did not get to meet her, the correspondence was always very prompt and the room was nothing short of exactly what we wanted. We will definitely be coming back again and highly recommend her. This was our first AirBNB experience and it was wonderful.
