About this listing
Aurelea offers a private suite which includes a bedroom, a full, newly renovated bathroom, a private entrance, off street parking and a lovely garden. The suite is a completely private part of our post & beam, passive solar heated home. It overlooks Easton's Pond, where you will catch the most beautiful sunrises, everyday. In the evening, the sunset reflects off the buildings on the far side of the pond -- equally stunning. Aurelea is located just three blocks away from the Cliff Walk and Easton's Beach and is a short walk to Bellevue Avenue, the wharfs, and all the shops and restaurants. A great feature is that, even though it is centrally located, it is set on the quiet side of town. It is surrounded by trees and shrubs -- home to many birds. Italian is also spoken. We enjoy making suggestions for dining and other activities. We hope you will come see for yourself why we love living in Newport.
Other Things to Note
There is a mini-fridge in the room.
We ask that you please not smoke or light incense or candles. This is our private home. Everyone from airbnb has always been respectful. Thank you.
Maria was a wonderful host, as usual! She is always accommodating and helpful. The place was perfect for us. Neat and clean with all the amenities you would need.
Maria's place was a great getaway for me and my husband. We had a wedding in Middletown, but also wanted to be near the Newport waterfront so the location was perfect. The room has a private entrance and is cozy with a view of the lake. We had a wonderful weekend, thanks Maria!
Maria was terrific! Welcoming and very helpful. The neighborhood was quiet, close to the beach and cliff walk. If you cannot live without air this won't work for you
We had a very nice, though far too short stay at Maria's oasis. The house is lovely and very convenient to explore all that Newport has to offer. The room had all the amenities we needed and was very comfortable. Maria was a very kind and understanding host (we hit traffic on the way in and were later arriving than expected). We were mainly in and out all weekend in order to attend wedding festivities, but it was great to be able to have such a pleasant place to retreat to between all the activities. We had a great time in Newport and in Aurelea!
My husband and I attended a wedding in Newport over the 4th of July weekend, and Maria's accommodations helped to make it a perfect trip! She greeted us upon arrival, recommended some places to grab dinner and told us about the happenings in Newport to celebrate the 4th. Her place is super serene and very comfortable. We were also able to walk to our wedding events, which helped as the holiday weekend proved to be busy around town. If we find ourselves in Newport again, I'd definitely look Maria up to stay again! Thanks Maria!!
Great location! Close to all of Newport's sites, but far enough removed that it is peaceful and quiet.
Maria's house really is an oasis in Newport. The house has a separate entrance, which makes it feel very private and the view from the back yard is gorgeous! Maria has everything you could need in a place to stay. The room was very comfortable and the shower was great. And If you don't mind walking you will save a ton on parking downtown. We walked a lot!
