Famous for its typical restaurants and trattorie, trendy bars where Romans celebrate the rite of the "aperitivo" and the Museum of Contemporary Art (MACRO), the Testaccio district is a neighborhood where the atmosphere is authentic and out from the roaring tourist crowd of the adjoining Trastevere district. The area is located in a prime position to easily visit the most important sights and monuments of the eternal city, and also offers a young and colorful nightlife.
The apartment is 10 minutes walking from Circo Massimo, Bocca della Verità, Terme di Caracalla and hence the Colosseum, the Roman Forum, Via del Corso, and many other sites of historical and cultural interest. In addition, only 100 meters from the residence you will find links to Busses and Trams leading to various places in the historical center.
Newly renovated with high quality finishes and tastefully furnished in a modern style, Casa Flo is a quiet and charming apartment on the ground floor, a few steps from the banks of the Tiber River and only a step from Trastevere and the very famous market Portaportese!

It also consists of an entrance hall, a double bedroom with two windows, a spacious living room with double sofa bed, a fully equipped kitchenette, spacious bathroom with shower and window.
The house is equipped with air conditioning in all rooms, free Wi-Fi, telephone, Hi-Fi, 40" LCD SmartTV, dishwasher, microwave, kettle, coffee maker, toaster, washing machine, hairdryer, safe. Towels and linens are available for our guests.
Only 150m from the house you will find the main square of the district with a well stocked supermarket (open on Sundays), several bars, pastry, a myriad of pizzerias, Pubs, Restaurants, a major theater, and all the amenities of a central business district. A block away there is a local fresh food market where you can get typical Italian fresh food and delicatessen.
Just 100m from the front door there is a bus stop with which you can reach in 5 minutes the Metro line B and the train station where you can catch direct links to Fiumicino airport and the Central Station. Adjacent to it is also the metro train station of "Rome Lido" from where you can reach the Roman coast and the archaeological site of Ostia Antica.

Absolutely loved our stay. Great apartment in a great location. The interior was immaculate and felt like home. Was a much more pleasant stay than a hotel. Would highly recommend to anyone that wants to experience the real Rome, including its traditional dishes. Gianluca is a fantastic host with great hospitality and recommendations for the area. Quick and easy mass transportation to all the sites and train (FL1) to airport. Can't recommend this property enough.
Gianluca was a tremendous host! He came to collect us from the airport which was much appreciated after a very long flight. He was very helpful with local information and his recommendations were fabulous. The apartment was excellent, clean, beautifully setup and very close to all attractions( we walked to everything) along with being situated in a lovely quiet part of Rome. The local shops were great with pizza, cafes, bakery and supermarket 5 mins away. Thankyou Gianluca you made our first stay of our europe adventure wonderful :)
What a wonderful week we just spent at Gianluca's Testaccop appartment! My husband, baby and I arranged an airport transfer with Gianluca, which is a great way of getting to the apartment. We were warmly greeted and given lots of information about Testaccio, Rome, and most importantly, where to eat.
The apartment has all the basics you need for your stay, including coffee and wine. The terrace is lovely and spacious, and the apartment fitted with all the mod cons to make you comfortable.
On the same street is Giolitti, a gelateria which is over a hundred years old. Within 50m is a great pizzeria and a 2min walk gets you to a supermarket, ATMs, a pharmacy and more. The major sights of Rome are easily accessed by just following the river along, and many are within a 30min walk.
The great benefit of staying in Testaccio, other than the great food of course, is that it is not a tourist area. You will be given a true taste of Rome and Italy and a place to escape from the tourist hordes. Cannot recommend this apartment and area enough, and would love to return.
We had a fantastic time staying in Gianluca's apartment. It was clean spacious and in a great location. Testaccio is wonderful with great restaurants shops and access to public transport. Gianluca was a terrific host, he picked us up from the station on our arrival, explained everything to us. Contacted us during our stay to make sure everything was ok. Thank you Gianluca.
Gianluca is a very welcoming host. The apartment is located in a real Roman neighborhood that is close but away from the chaos of the center. There are good restaurants, wine stores and food outlets very close by. And it is walkable to the metro stop or convenient local buses. This is the second time we have stayed there. Will do so again. Apartment is extremely clean and modern. Highly recommend.
We had another wonderful stay in Testaccio. Gianluca is a great host who made us feel very welcome and provided us with tons of great information to make our stay perfect. We love the neighborhood of Testaccio because it's a bit off the beaten path of busy and crowded Rome, yet close enough to walk practically everywhere (also well connected with bus and metro). We love shopping for food at the Testaccio market, which is only a few blocks away. We also really enjoyed dinner at Flavio Al Velavevodetto. Great stay, we will be back in Rome and will definitely stay at Gianluca's again. thank you, thank you!!
I have lived abroad for some years and often travel as a tourist, so I know what are the needs and desires of those who arrive in a foreign country, in a big city full of history like Rome.
I like nature, I love animals, music and arts. I love good wine and food and I am a very curious person who likes to discover the world, meeting people with different cultures from my own, learn from their life's experiences. I was born and raised in Rome and I feel very lucky to walk everyday in the same streets that have been the cradle of the western culture. I love this city because after so many years it still gives me moments of serenity and sincere astonishment.
I work as Project Manager for a big company but my passion are vintage motorbikes which I like to restore when I have the time.
